Right now they're supposedly discussing a matchup with Devon Alexander. DA would love to do it. Vivian Harris also threw his name out there and says that since both are with G it shouldn't be a problem to make. I would think Maidana's people would love an easy chinny name guy like Harris for their record, but Alexander offers a championship fight so I'm sure they'd favor DA. I like Maidana and would probably root for him against either guy. I really look forward to his next fight.
If Urango's Fights "Stunk", it's Because his Opponents WOULDN'T Engage him (Like the Much BIGGER Andre Berto Running the Whole Fight)...Maidana WILL Engage Urango... Urango-Maidana Would B a WAR for as Looooooooong as it Lasts... REED:kidcool:
however awesomely badass u think Maidana is or how much Urango sucks...its still one if not the best fan friendly fan that can be made at 140....
Urango doesnt suck. I'd favor Maidana over him, but I'd give Urango a good chance. The guy can crack, and is very strong.
I think the difference could be Urango's chin, Bailey had him down but he walked through a hell of a lot. I think if he weathers the storm, he could stop Maidana, who we know can be hurt. It would be a good fight, wouldn't go as far as to say it is the best fight to be made at 140, but it would be entertaining none-the-lesss
From Fightnews: Both Universum and Golden Boy Promotions are working to put Maidana on November 28 in Quebec, Canada, and there are good chances that his rival would be former champ Kendall Holt. Could be a good fight. Holt is all talent and no substance. Kind of reminds me of Judah in that respect. Maidana is a tough balls out no quitting mofo who reminds me of Trinidad. I think he can win the fight with pressure and power if he doesn't get too hurt by Holt's power.
Holt's Chin is CRAP & REED DOESN'T Like his Chances of EVADING Maidana's POWER for the Duration of the Bout...More than Likely, Holt will B WINNING the Fight, but he'll Eventually Get STOPPED.... REED:kidcool:

Cordero Marcos “Chino†Maidana may defend his WBA interim super lightweight world title on November 27 at the Club Libertad in Sunchales, Margarita, Argentina. Panamanian Alberto Mosquera (10-0, 7 KOs), the current WBA Fedelatin titleholder appears to be the main candidate to be the opponent. By WBA resolution, Maidana would have 90 days after this optional defense to meet WBA champ Amir Kahn. Maidana currently preparing for the bout with trainer Miguel Diaz. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
Now Victor Ortiz is saying Maidiana doesn't want to give him a rematch. Don't know how true that is seeing how full Maidiana's schedule is. Could it just be that Maidiana has his hands full right now?
yeah, we'll have to see who Maidana does end up fighting next then decide if he is 'ducking' Ortiz or whatever. Not sure that an immediate rematch is the best idea for Ortiz....there were lessons to be learnt in that defeat, and he does have the beating of Maidana if he fights smarter, but probably a good idea to put those smarts to practice first before going straight into a potential war once again.....he's young, no need to rush.....there are plenty of guys out there who can give him a good test, without wanting to have an all-out tear up.....Andreas Kotelink for example.
