Even if it were true, how in the hell would Mayweather Sr. be privy to it? He's talking out of his azz as usual.

 

I met Floyd Sr. at a small boxing card in Vegas a few years back. We talked for 2 or 3 minutes. To this day, I still have no idea what he said to me.

Roids must be the topic of discussion for the Mayweather's these days.

There was some interview where Jr. was bringing up Mosley's usage against DLH.

I guess I'm like Reed...it wouldn't surprise me if some kind of evidence came out against Pacquiao that he's using steroids.

I'm actually a little surprised there hasn't been more speculation about it on message boards like this...where that kind of talk goes on about a lot of fighters with no evidence against them, and one's who've made shorter jumps up in weight than Pacquiao.

Yes. But it in no way proves they didn't use them. Afterall, why would a fighter take substances if they couldn't get away with it?

The instances when a fighter is caught having used them (Mosley, Toney, etc.) are the exception, not the rule.

For example, Hopkins is apparently a master at masking his steroid use.

If there's an avenue to get away with cheating, Hopkins is ofcourse in on it,.. I dont know about steroids, but he's already admitted to handwrapping tricks.

 

They test, but you generally have to be pretty sloppy to fail a steroid test.

And there's a lot of PEDs that aren't tested for.

Honestly, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Pacquiao and the majority of the other fighters in the sport weren't on some sort of banned PED.

a very high majority of professional boxers, football players, basketball players......lets just say athletes in general use steroids.

floyd sr. may not have proof...but he is probably right anyways.

It's hard to tell with guys Pacquiao's age, because when athletes get into their thirties, they tend to fill out more. That said, Manny hasn't had any radical physical changes that I've noticed.

But for all his sliminess, Floyd Sr. is a gym rat. And he's a guy who is still in amazing shape himself. If he has questions, I'm sure he's not the only one.

I wouldn't be shocked either way. I remember when Thomas Hearns accused Ray Leonard of taking steroids before their rematch in 1989. I think it's been prevalent in the pro game for quite some time.
