I've noticed since the JMM fight that Floyd is being much more humble and less critical of his opposition even if it is a front. It was also very evident tonight during the HBO interview. He would not say one bad thing about Shane going so far as to always wish him the best. He apologized to the whole HBO crew twice, and when they mentioned Pacquiao's name and Cotto's name Floyd slipped in "good fighter" after both names. So has Floyd's team finally wised up and given him some much needed PR advice because he's obviously acting differently? What do you think his agenda is? Well whatever his agenda is and whether it's a front or not I sure find this guy a lot easier to like. I thought the apology was a class act and defintely liked the way he gave thanks to his fans for supporting him when they mentioned his PPV success.
He won a fight, drew big numbers, and stole alot of money,.. that's why he's 'happy' .... he is what he is,.. there is no 'change',.. give him just a little bit of adversity, and he'll turn into a piece of shit, simple.
That interview with Floyd was really odd. He was humble and apologetic. Almost like he has to be Mr. Hyde so he can sell "hate-per-views" (i.e. people buying Floyd PPVs out of sheer hatred and desire to see him lose), then back to Dr. Jeckyl to schmooze with the Jim Lampleys of the world afterward. I will say this - it is probably easy to be humble & gracious when the first hard-hitting question out of Lamps's mouth was like: "Floyd, even your GREATEST admirer's expectations have been thoroughly EXCEEDED by your FANTASTIC performance against Juan Manuel Marquez, was that the greatest performance of your LIFE??" Wow, Jim... try not to trip over your lost integrity as you feverishly grope for Floyd's genitalia. Whatever PBF's thing is - new leaf or just another tired act - it's working, because the HBO mouthpieces fawn all over him like giddy schoolgirls and he is cashing in enough to maybe even get out of hock so he can retire again.
Did anyone see Floyd having to run into the locker room and he was being pellted by fans. He might be the most unpopular fighter ever. I think it is helping his pocket book, but he looked to me like he was going to cry when he left and he was pelted with beer, ice, boos and insults. Never in my life have a seen people leave a fight in droves like his horrifc fight with Bumdomir. The fight last weak was a farce. I have always defended PBF because there are people that say he isn't really good which is nuts. However, not kayoing Marquez after he fucked him over on weight as well was an epic failure. He needs to step it up in the ring. I don't think he deserves a pass for a self imposed exhile and a joke of a tune up.
The underlying love for Fraud is PULSATING,.. His fans cannot possibly argue in defence of virtually anything he has to say, that is....simply impossible,.. not even the most devious lawyer in the world could sweeten his language,... But all it takes is just one interview, sucking his cock, and for Fraud to show appreciation for that,.. and suddenly... ... "Hey, let's give Floyd the benefit of the doubt, it's all an act, he's really a good guy". If a European came over here, and acted in the manner that Fraud does, white american scribes would be advocating heavily for that particular brash European, to be taken out by a sniper, .........."we can just live in hope"..would be the final words of the article.
didnt barkley leave the mayweather jr baldomir fight early? he has been to every one of mayweather jr's fights since. hagler was treated a lot worse by fans when he beat minter's ass. big deal. you claim to have defended the guy, yet your opinion means zilch. you are the same dullard who routinely shits on the accomplishments of great champions like Mosley and Hopkins.
I'm disappointed in Floyd, for once. Why did he apologize? It was Kellerman who should've apologized to him, not the other way around. Why did he call Cotto "a good fighter"? We have enough lying from HBO as it is, there's no need for Floyd to add to the chorus.
I agree. I have never agreed with a fighter calling out another fighter immediately following a big fight. Mayweather just got done giving a boxing lesson. Let him enjoy that moment and then maybe look into the future.
Don't let that interview w/ Lampley confuse u...Mayweather is still an ASSHOLE...If De La Hoya had to front the million for the IRS..then it means Mayweather is having financial problems and need to stay nice, nice w/ HBO....until at least into his fight vs. Cotto or Pacquiao is sign...then he can go back being the asshole....20+ million for those fights...and it's against Pacquiao I think it will break DLH vs. Mayweather PPV numbers.....easily.
Say what you want negatively about PBF but the dude is a marketing genius. He does what he needs to do to sell his fights. PBF is top PPV dudes ever. That speaks volumes about him and how he pimps himself. However people claim that PBF is an asshole but there are reports of him doing hella interviews and making sure that he signs everyone's autograph. That ain't bad for such a bad dude. I'll Holla 5000
He didn't. He was being interviewed by Lampley and Floyd said "I want to apologize to HBO" he also mentioned everyones names including Kellerman's. That is ridiculous logic. Do you honestly think Floyd thinks he has to be nice for HBO to make his next few fights? They're going to do that regardless of if he's nice or the same asshole he's always been. HBO isn't going to not allow themselves to make money because of Floyd's behavior and I'm sure Floyd is smart enough to know that. I'm not saying Floyd's behavior is genuine or not, but if it isn't that sure as shit isn't the reason he's fronting. If anything he's doing it to bring in more fans so he can make more money.
It's your affection for him, verses a pacific ocean of evidence to the contrary Lib four Lib,.....under the circumstances, he's got no reason to have an outrageous outburst right now, he picked a mismatch, drew numbers that quenched his narccistic thirst, and stole alot of money,.. all it takes is an absence of dick suckers, and an absence of funds, for the sociopath to flare up again, and for me, it's relieving to know that it's inevitable.
What are you talking about Kauki? I don't have an affection for Floyd, on the contrary I'm closer to hating him then liking him. All I did was tell the facts of what happened.
Well,.. I think the proposition that he's turning over a new leaf, would be better served at a time when he's a bit dried up, and his posse evapourates, and THEN under those circumstances,...he conducts himself in a nice manner,.. that'd be something against the grain,.. not now, after baby's got a full bottle of milk.
Floyd actually behaves in quite restrained manner, considering all the facts. Imagine, you're the best fighter in the world (and has been, for a decade), consistently facing the best of the best, brutalizing your opposition (see Corrales, Chavez, Markez, etc fights), being a popular and well-loved sports figure (see PPV numbers), and all over sudden....boom...you got a narcistic, self-obcessed idiot like Kellerman stealing your deserved spotlight. No wonder Floyd got upset, but he behaved impeccably, instead of knocking-out Max on the spot, he simply gently rebuked Kellerman, and didn't even verbally abuse the poor guy. Go, Money May!
This is true and all, but the board moves too slow, so sometimes you have to put out threads just to get some conversation going. I realize Floyd hasn't changed, I just wanted to spark some debate.
