Watched this last Friday, having not seen much boxing in a while, and was lucky enough to catch a potential fight of the year.

Great British domestic fight. Neither is a brilliant fighter, but domestically they're the two best light-middles in Britain.
Both incredibly tough guys-well worth a watch if you haven't already seen it.

Yeah it was a good fight, especially the 6th and 7th rounds. Felt sorry for Moore, he's worked hard to get where he is, but now Rhodes leap frogs him into a world title challenge.

Problem for Moore was that he was too brave for his own good. When he was hurt, and almost out in the 7th, he should've been looking to hold and spoil. To the fans delight, he fought back strongly and hurt Rhodes, went hell-for-leather, but this lead to him dropping his hands later in the round, Rhodes took advantage and didn't let Moore off the hook. Moore is a very aggressive fighter, but unfortunately his chin isn't quite what it should be to carry this style off at world level. A ton of heart though.

As for Rhodes, he is probably better equipped at world level.....he's got good handspeed, decent power, but above all it is his awkard style that could spring an upset.

Cracking fight, had a feeling it would be as well. Rhodes has done well to come back from the defeat by Matthews all that time ago when he looked finished. Was a great punch by Ryan which dropped Jamie the first time, really well picked from off the ropes. As Adam said, Moore made a mistake in firing straight back when he was hurt, it nearly paid off, but ultimately cost him in the end. That's just the way he is though, he isn't going to change. Kudos to both guys though for a great war.

Good fight; really good, hard-fought domestic battle. Almost certainly the UK FOTY

It was quite odd watching it. Although Moore was impressing early and racking up a lead, it never seemed to me that at any stage did it look decisive. The fact that I had a nibble at odds of 3-1 for Rhodes might have blinkered my viewpoint, mind

He also should have covered up when he shipped that big right early in the seventh instead of roraing back and leaving himself open again- whilst pleasing for the crowd and showing amazing courage, he did himself no favours at all and eventually was stopped.

Rhodes will do himself justice if he gets that WBC title shot, but he'll fall short again. He's a good, hardworking and committed fighter, but not quite good enough at that level.
