It'll be very interseting to see who the UFC puts in Lesnar's place. Maybe Nog? Maybe Dos Santos?

Sucks that the fight is off though.

Tito/Forrest is going to be the main event now. Now it's definitely not worth buying.

Carwin/Lesnar is moved to 108 which is absolutely stacked.

A opening to shove Lyoto Machida vs. Mauricio “Shogunâ€￾ Rua 2 in there. Close enough to an immediate rematch.

It's confirmed that Lesnar\Carwin is postponed until 108. They're going with Tito\Griffin as the main event. That was a good co-feaature, but as the main event, it's lacking. I hope they'll try to add another big fight to the card, but it's gonna be tough with less than 3 weeks to prepare.

All I can say is, thank God Mark Coleman got hurt, because there's no way the UFC could sell Tito\Coleman as a Main Event.

what do the * mean next to fighters' names?

And Tito/Forrest is a lackluster main event.

When did Baroni come back to the UFC? Good fight for Amir to get back on.

If Amir's last fight never happened I MIGHT have favored him over Baroni, but I think Baroni might just blast him out.

I agree, you know that will be Baroni's plan too. As soon as the bell rings fire bombs as fierce and fast as possible. The reason I like the fight for Amir, is IF he can weather that storm, Baroni will gas and is always succeptable to a sub. Good win to put on Amir's resume even if Baroni is far past it.

That is exactly like I see it. I favor Baroni early and if it goes more than one round Baroni will start to gas and Amir will probably take over.

Now, as for the original topic. I know Shane Carwin isn't likely to fight someone else, but they really should have looked to make a Velasquez vs Carwin fight like they origially had planned. Cain is still fresh, he would have no problem being ready.

I actually don't mind them pushing the fight back to 108, its the matchup I really want to see. I would love to see Cain fight the winner too. I just wish they had a matchup to put on as a co-mainevent with Griffin/Ortiz.

Griffin vs Ortiz is not even close to main even material. Maybe for a spike card it could pass as a main event, but not on PPV.

They've added Josh Koshcheck vs. Anthony Johnson to the card. Good fight.

I can't believe they scheduled Johnson for another fight at 170 after he didn't even come close to making weight. What was his excuse for being 6lbs over? Can he even make weight?

LOVE IT!!! This should be a war! (hopefully Jonshon makes weight). Josh brings it all day long, if Anthony is to move up torwards a title shot this is the way to do it!!! Great fight!!!:cheer:

Now looking at the card it still isn't PPV quality.....they really should make this free on Spike. Not sure if they can logistically.

One of my buddies wouldn't believe me that it was postponed because right after I told him, that stupid commercial came on. They need to get that off the air ASAP.

That's exactly what I was alluding to. In the advertising world, that stuff gets scratched IMMEDIATELY. They had 3 days notice which is an eternity in broadcast time.

The Tito\Griffin fight doesn't really excite me too much. Tito's days as a Championship level fighter are long gone, and I think the bloom is off the rose as far as Griffin goes. Griffin was a good story. He seems like a likable guy, his fights are usually entertaining, and he was the first 'star' from the TUF series. He was able to overachieve and succeed far more than his skill set suggested he would, but I think it's all downhill from this point on.

I think Tito will either GNP Forrest or will win a pretty clear cut decision.

I really like the Koshcheck\Rumble fight, and I love the Little Nog\Cain fight. I'd like to be able to see the Marcus Davis\Ben Saunders fight, I'm surprised that Davis isn't on the main card, or his fight at least on a Fight Night, as he's always in a good fight. And I'd like to see the Kendall Grove\Jake Rosholt fight too. I think Rosholt has a good future in MMA. I think he beats Grove in convincing fashion.

Regardless, I'm probably gonna miss the event as I'm gonna be celebrating my anniversary with my wife in Vegas. It sucks that I'll be right there and not going, but I'm making this trip to Vegas 'all about her', since I always go to Vegas for the Superbowl without her and she never gives me any problems over it. So I figured I'd do something nice for her. You married guys know how it is.

Who knows....maybe I'll get her passed out drunk then slip down to Blondie's to watch the fights there, and sneak back in before she comes to.

I think you are right on with Forrest. I see Tito winning as well, but when Tito steps up to anyone in the actual title picture at 205 he gets beat farily handedly.

I think the Kendall Grove/Jake Rosholt fight is very interesting . Grove's height and BJJ makes him a weird matchup for many people. Jake is a stud wrestler and is making strides in the standup. I agree that Jake has a bright career in MMA ahead of him, but this could be a bad matchup for him. I wish I could see it as well.

Have fun out in Vegas, good looking out for the misses:lol:
