If referee follows the rules, Cotto will get a warning for a low blow.

Cotto's left hook over Manny's low right jab may spell lights out for my man Pacquiao, REED.

Seriously, this is THE Most IMPORTANT Facet of Pac-Cotto...Others May Think it's Cotto's Ability to ADAPT to Pac's Southpaw Delivery, SPEED & Power, but REED Thinks Pac's Ability to HANDLE Cotto's Incoming will ULTIMATELY Determine the Winner...

Cotto's Gonna B MUCH More Aggressive than Dela was Against Pac & he's Gonna B MUCH SMARTER in Attacking Pac than Hatton was...This WON'T B a PASSIVE, WEIGHT DRAINED Performance on the Part of Cotto...NOR will he FOOLISHLY Lunge In to Pac w/AMATUERISHLY Telegraphed Shots...

Manny Pacquiao Will "FEEL" Cotto in this Fight...HOW will he Handle it???...

are we at yet another "Size will matter" argument:lol:

Didn't we try this with Pacquiao's two prior opponents?

Cotto isn't Shot DLH or a used up Hatton. I think if he gets hit is the key. Pacman does not get hit flush anymore. His feet get him in and out so I can't answer the question. Cotto can hurt Pacman though, but it is a matter if he lands.

Pacquiao will feel the "caña" early on and Cotto will keep him honest to take an UD

I just wonder about the Pacquiao haters. I mean, DLH was weight drained, and now Hatton was nothing to begin with:lol:

Will Cotto become "Margarito leftovers" when Pac wins in convincing fashion?

I think the speed difference is such that Pacquiao SHOULD be able to roll with it and take most of the sting off.

Eh, I think the more important thing is how Cotto reacts to getting hit by a Pacquiao left hand he never sees coming.

Thing is, it's not just "Pacquiao haters" who think this way. Pacquiao's own trainer seems to think the same. I mean didn't Roach himself say "Oscar was dead at the weight" and had "fresh IV marks on his arm" once he entered the ring because they attempted to rehydrate him intravenously after weighing him on fight night? Did Roach not also say "for a former world champion, Ricky Hatton was not very good?" :dunno:

Cotto´s most underrated quality is timing and shot placement imho. Not the fastest hands or feet, but he lands his punches. That gives him a shot to stop Manny´s quick attacks. He can time those and I give him a decent chance.

Um, hardly underrated seeing as it's often mentioned as one of his main strengths, his timing/accuracy.

And REED, well I agree. Cotto is going to hit him harder than he's been hit before, no doubt.

But taking the odd flush shot from Oscar and Hatton with no effect, I'm giving Manny the benefit of the doubt.

I think his chin is solid at 140/147, and even if he is stung once or twice by Cotto, maybe even hurt, I think Manny's chin/recovery is solid enough to fight through it and win.

1st times Manny is gonna take it. Then he's gonna raise his hands and touch gloves. Later on he's gonna start looking sore but he'll raise hands again and touch gloves. Then he's gonna start bleeding and he won't raise hands and touch this time. Then he's gonna look really hurt and go to the ropes. Then he's gonna look lost on the corner and Freddie will stop it.

    =)

WHERE R these "Pacquiao Haters" that U Speak Of???...Pac's Probably THE Most Well Liked Fighter in the Sport (In AND Out of the Ring) & Besides his Trainer, there's Really NATHAN to Dislike about him...

Unless that Left Hand is Thrown as an UPPERCUT (Which Manny RARELY Throws), Cotto's Perpetually HIGH GUARD Should Do an Adequate Job of PROTECTING him from Shots he Won't See Coming....

Roach said he knew pac would lead the big right hook because "Ricky always fights the same way and never changes."

What's funny about that quote is for one Ricky wasn't fighting the same way in that fight and for another, a quote like that just discredits what he and Pac had done. I think it was a matter of wanting to talk some trash after hearing Floyd Sr's loudmouth ass yapping for months.

I was asking the same thing before the DLH and Hatton fights....and we didn't find out. I expect we will next week...Cotto hits hard, you don't need a suspect chin to be hurt by him. I don't think Manny has a suspect chin, he hasn't been really hurt for sometime

    He WASN'T???...

Manny Pac COUNTERED Hatton as he REPEATEDLY Lunged In w/those Telegraphed Hooks, Just as he Did in the Floyd Fight...It was an ASTUTE Obversation by Roach & the Shit WORKED...

    VIOLENTLY...

Not sure about this. I Rewatched the ODH fight with Manny and I couldn't believe how easy Pac was able to get through a decently high guard that Oscar had that night. He sliced through it and I think he might do the same to Cotto's guard.

If Cotto wins it will be by timing Manny when he is jumping in. He has a good shot at doing that, cause like many mentioned his timing is very good. If he can adapt to the speed and in and out of Manny he will probably win. I have my money on Pac, but not a lot of money.

BTW - to answer the question... Manny will probably take the punches well. Cotto aint no puncher. He took 11 rounds of sustained punishment to put away glass Zab. We KNOW Manny has a better chin than Judah, and wont be getting hit nearly as much.
