Cotto vs Duran

Before UGTK posts it, and says its something I'd post.::

 

i think i'd give the edge to Duran.

 

By the 6th round Cotto would already be a bloody, battered mess, and Duran would smiling at him whilst punishing him.

 

It would have been pretty ugly. Even though Manny can be ferocious he seems to take his foot off the gas a bit if he's really hurting his opponents and feels he's got the win in the bag.

Duran would probably have intentionally headbutted Cotto's busted up face to make it worse. ::

 

Duran wins but not nearly as easily as PacMan. Pacquiao's speed and accuracy killed Cotto, Duran's humping wouldn't be nearly as dramatic

 

Duran would ass rape Cotto in easy fashion. Please tell me what the hell Cotto has for Duran? Duran was faster, stronger, more powerful, better defensively, better chin, better stamina, better EVERYTHING than Cotto. It'd be a replay of Duran's fight with Palimino, only Cotto's chin isnt nearly as good as Palimino's, so he gets stopped.

Plus Cotto isnt mentally strong enough for Duran. Roberto would have him bitched out, and running for dear life after a few rounds of ass whuppin.

 

You are correct, Duran was the better version of Cotto in nearly every aspect and thus he would win as I said. But because of styles Duran would never beat him as easily and beautifully as Pac did even though Cotto would not be able to challenge his victory either

 

Beautifully? No. More brutally? You bet your ass! Duran was heavier handed than Manny, and had a more ruthless attitude. Cotto would have zero chance at seeing the 12 round with Duran. In fact, Duran would have seriously seriously hurt Cotto. To the point where Miguel would be in the hospital for several days after.

 

I disagree with this. Manny put so much hurt on Cotto because he landed flush so often and Miguel could not see his punches coming. Duran was more heavy handed perhaps, but not as sharp and Cotto would be able to see his shots once in a while

 

You really underate Duran. Duran's hands werent as fast as Manny's, but they were very quick, esp his right hand, which Cotto would NOT see coming. If not even Ray Leonard could see them coming, then you know Cotto is getting nailed with it. Not to mention Duran would rape Cotto's BODY, something Manny didnt do. I have no doubt in my mind that Duran would beat him up WORSE than Marg, and Manny did.

Ridiculous. Cotto wouldn't stop him until at least the 10th. I see Duran quitting here.

 

I don't see that. Duran was mentally a soft fighter but Cotto does not have the tools to break him down
