I stopped being a moderator awhile ago, so I'm not involved in applying the rules unless steve_dave and Godfather are both on vacation at the same time. Lately I've just been posting and deleting porn spambots from the New Registration/Help Desk forum.

Yes, I'm a co-owner. I don't brag about it or anything because I just wanted to keep the forum open. cupey was gonna shut it down, but we're transitioning so that it stays open for Fightbeaters.

PATHETICALLY, These Guys R Trying to Convince THEMSELVES that Pac Deserves More, Simply Because they HATE Floyd & LOVE Pac:shit:...Make NO Mistake about it, if the Roles were REVERSED & PAC had SUPERIOR PPV Sales vs. Dela & Hatton, this WOULDN'T Even B an Issue...

But Since Floyd OUTSOLD Pac Against Both Guys, NOW the Rules R Supposed to CHANGE...Pac DOESN'T Deserve 50-50 & if he Asks for a Penny MORE than 50-50, HE Should B BLAMED (Even Though he WON'T B)...

REED Was Talking about the HIGHLY PUBLICIZED ECONOMIC Status of the Phillipines, Buddy...EVERYfuckingTIME we Hear about Pac, the PLIGHT of his Homeland is Noted, is it Not???...The Phillipines is a 3rd World Country, is it Not???...

When REED is PURPOSELY Getting Racial w/Another Poster, he DOESN'T HIDE the Fact...In this Case, REED WASN'T Getting Racial, REED was Speaking of the ECONOMICS of that Country...Apparently, Godfather Picked Up on that as Well....But Since REED's Post COULD have Been MISinterpreted, he ALLOWED Bama a FREE Racial Shot @ him...REED Will Even Go Out on a Limb & Say that Bama's Banning Should IMMEDIATELY B Lifted...

But REED WAS NOT Taking the Topic Into the "Gutter"...

Something else is that Pacquaio's star is still on the rise. Pacquaio picks up more fans with every fight....and now he's an EVEN bigger star after Saturday. Do you think Floyd made new fans with his cautious performance vs an overblown Marquez?

    REED, take off the blinkers.

The Post WASN'T Even Directed @ Bama...It was Directed @ a Poster that Said Pacquiao's OVERSEAS PPV Sales Should B Factored Into the Equation for the Split vs. Mayweather...To which REED Replied as he Did...

But Even Though Bama Replied DIRECTLY to REED as he Did, REED Still Says let him Back...

I understood what you meant,REED. I did not saw it as a cheap shot, but the truth is that in the Philipines when Pacquiao fights, they put large screens so poor people can watch their hero for FREE!! So, nah, PPV sales there were not that significant since it was transmitted mainly on free tv.

From saturday's performance/result, why would you think Pacquaio would only have the same or less fans?....You know boxing, and the way superstars become popular, is through big-time performances like that.

From where i'm sitting, he's receiving more coverage than ever before. I'm not entirely sure that is the same in the States, but over here (because boxing does exit out of the US) he's getting double page spreads and being eulogised in a way that no boxer has been for a long time. He's getting bigger, and bigger, and not just physically.

    That is true.

While Floyd is obviously still a big name, boxing fans ARE largely fickle, make no mistake.

I'm sure a lot of people were pumped for Floyd's return, only to be absolutely fucking disappointed at his cowardly performance against a blown up marquez.

And Pacman? Well for those that saw him fight for the first time on Saturday, the viewer to fan conversion rate has got to be around 90%.

Pacman's last fight was not only a PPV success, but he put on a fucking good show against one of the best welterweights in the world, his popularity and star factor is only going to increase from there.

I predict that if Pacman - Floyd doesn't come off, and Floyd fights someone who is approximately as well known as marquez, and poses as little threat as welterweight marquez, his next PPV won't do as well as the marquez one.

It is admittedly impressive his comeback PPV did 1 mil, no doubt, it's much more than I expected.

But without doubt a large part of that would have been the hype attached to a "comeback" after a (pseudo) retirement.

And after they saw him fight, they'll have been like "bah! we waited all that time, for this??"

Sorry boss i have to disagree. There was no personal attack on Bama. Talking about the Pilipino people having no shoes becuase they are third world country has nothing to do with Bama (who is supposedly rich). I dont think the banning should be lifted. Bama's response was ridiculouly uncalled for.

Something to keep in mind, despite their recent performances,
I believe that if the fight between them did NOT come off next, Floyd would likely be able to draw more in his next fight vs Mosely / Berto / other top welter than Manny would against a similar caliber opponent.

    50/50 is pretty fair cut

I still find it hard for each side to give in furing negotiations.

As far as sales Floyd has sold more but not by much. But when you considered Pacquiao's recent competition and results in those fights it's hard to just put it on the sales.

I agree with Illuminati that Floyd's recent shitty fights and all his shit talking is why he will be blamed for not making this fight. Weather is his fault or not.

you also have to remember his relationship with Arum since neither guy ever talks about wanting to make the fight.

I think you're stretching it there, GF, but that's a question of perspective. Insulting one's nationality, especially in light of recent events, is at least borderline---and I'm saying this knowing that I like REED, and Bammer HAS been a bit of a pest in recent years.

Don't get me wrong. One could be construed the way I saw it, but Bammer's response was definitely way out of line.

So how long is he gone for?

But, as I said, it could be construed in more than one way, so I won't argue overmuch. I felt that I should voice the unpopular opinion.

And since I'm not a mod anymore, I find myself reminded of an old NWA song: "Without a badge or gun, what have you got, a sucka in a uniform waiting to get shot by me, or another n****, and with a gun it don't matter if he's smalla or bigga".

I'm occasionally gonna voice the unpopular opinion, so don't shoot me, guys.:dunno:

Agreed, ive started two threads about it in the past....personally i think we should just lift them whole sale from fanatics, there's always an appropriate one for what you wanna say over there. Half the reason there's been so many feuds here in the past is that all the smilies are so fucking agressive:lol:

That's where your wrong, as per usual.

Why? Manny is on the rise, becoming more popular by the day, and Manny's most recent performance was far, far more exciting than Floyd's.

A lot of boxing fans that might have been quite excited about Floyd's comeback, won't be in a hurry to pay to watch him again against most opponents after his dull, shitty, safety first decision over blown up featherweight Marquez.

People will always watch Floyd because they want to see him lose, as much as I hate the twat you gotta say he knows how to sell a fight. 50-50 is the only fair way, or 45-45 with the extra 10 going to the winner.

it should be 50-50, why endanger by far the biggest pay day out there for both with petty ego games?

50-50 is fine, but Floyd should not get more.

50-50 would be fine with me - but Floyd deserves more money than pac imo. at worst 55-45. he sells more PPVs hands down. it doesn't matter WHY he sells more, i agree completely that Pac is more exciting.... Floyd has played the villain perfectly, people tune in to see him lose but they tune in.

and yet, regardless of the outcome Manny still has a higher spot in boxing history than Floyd.

Kinda like Duran despite losses to Leonard, Hearns and Hagler is held in higher esteem all-time than those three guys.

(figured I'd mention that before you and your fellow Floyd Boys could disagree and turned a blind eye to similar situations).

Apart from their last fights, which are the most important, as it shows their popularity here and now, with Pacman being on the rise.

So no, he doesn't sell more PPV's hands down.

    Pacquiao's last fight - 1.3 or 1.4 million.

    Floyd's last fight 1 million.
