With all the Cotto/Pac/Floyd talk, are yall forgetting that the Kessler-Ward is now less than a week away? Who's everyone got? I like Kessler by late stoppage. Ward has success with his speed early, but eventually Mikkel finds the range and dishes out a beating.

Kessler wide UD. I hope the judges get it right.

Ward by 'revenge' decision seeing as how the media are playing the stupid fucken USA vs EUROPE card,.. though I think Ward's inside fighting abilities and speed will give Kessler some bad, bad problems.

Just watched the 360 fight camp on sho. Everytime i hear Kessler speak i like him more and more. I hope he can make Ward fight so he can get a clear decision or ko.

The only outcome that would really surprise me is Ward via KO.
I guess I'll take Kessler by decision, probably close.
Ward just hasn't been in with anyone close to Kessler's level since the olympics. And that was with headgear.
Just like Dirrell had problems with a tough world class fighter, Ward will. And Kessler is likely to far harder to deal with when both fighters are fresh than Froch is.

    Kessler mid round TKO.

Ward can only hide his glass chin so long.

SOG by decision...Kessler won't be able to find him. Ward will win on the inside and won't let Kessler get set on the outside. This is the blueprint JC drew up and SOG will do it again.

I gotta admit, I've never even seen Ward fight.

    What am I missing?

I'll check out one of his fights before making a prediction.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Ward by UD. I love Kessler and his style, but Ward's lateral movement will give him trouble.

Kessler so far has proven very good and entirely comfortable in beating B-Level guys, only losing when faced with the superior skill, adapability and overall nous of Calzaghe; a elite fighter.

Ward is no Calzaghe. He's similar in many ways, but he's nowhere near as good. He's a B-Level guy. And Kessler handles B-Level guys.

Gimme Kessler by late stoppage or comfortable UD, most likely the latter.

Another good fight. Boxing is doing the business right now...

Kessler by KO. Ward will tire down the stretch and then get stretched.

Ward will likely to get off to a good start, and by the half-way point, will be well in the fight, maybe even hold a slight lead. But he won't be able to keep this up, Kessler will increasingly find a home for his sharp jab and right hand. Ward probably goes down a couple of times before being stopped in 10.

    Kessler KO 10

I'll go with Ward by a close decision, just a gut feeling.

I watched both of their last fights. Kessler looked just as he always does.

Ward is not bad. Surely better than Dirrell, and surely less of a bitch :kidcool:

I didn't see anything that makes me think he'd beat Kessler though.

And the thing is, he hasn't beaten anyone, I mean really. What's his best win, a decision over a shop worn Miranda?

My pick is Kessler by KO.

I'll go with Kessler, since I've seen Ward look bad on FNF in the past. I thought Ward looked great when he first turned pro, but I've seen some bad performances since. I haven't seen him lately, so he may have improved. But I'll go with Kessler based on what I've seen of both fighters.

I don't get it when people say that Kessler will adjust to ward. Kessler the type of fighter that always fight the same,he doesn't have any plan B. A perfect example of this is the calzaghe fight, in wich he was dominating at first, but fail to adapt to calzaghe adaptation (sorry if this doesn't make sense). He's still a good fighter, but he's kind of a frotrunner.

Still, I haven't seen enough of Ward to make an informed pick

  27. Barristan

I agree with your post. I also predict Ward will not let Kessler get set and take away his jab. Ward is going to shock a lot of people with the beating he dishes out to Kessler.

Kessler is not a frontrunner. That's the wrong adjective, that insinuates he crumbles when the going gets tough, Judah perhaps being the best example of a front runner I can think of.

Kessler is more just 1 dimensional in his own way. Like you said, he always fights exactly the same way, he's not adaptable.

Does that mean that everyone who has lost to Calzaghe can't adjust?
