Yep, that is him. I guess you watch enough boxing to know who Miguel Cotto is eh? Good job.

If this is the case, Manny has options too. He could easily put a list of 3 bums together like Floyd has done. If you call that "Options"

Mathew fucking Hatton? Are you shitting me? :shit:

If he wants a tune up for Pacquiao...he should fight the winner of MOsley vs. Berto..somewhat speedy guys...not southpaw but speedy. From the list he offered i would accept Quintana...cause he is a southpaw..but he hasn't done shit in a while..and is hella slow...

I didn't say it would work. Or even that it was a good attempt. I'm simply pointing out it's one possibility PBF would hint at doing something so stupid.

But as I said, knowing PBF, I wouldn't put it past him to try to make a PPV in which he takes on Matthew Hatton. And you can bet if he did that Hatton would be built up as some sort of unfinished business left following the Ricky Hatton victory.

I didn't see his last few fights. I didn't realize he was now complete shit. Now I know why Manny fought him

If Matthew wants to avenge his brother's loss, he should be allowed to.
Nothing wrong with that. Klitschko brothers built their careers on such a premise.

That would be fucking hilarious if Floyd fought Matthew Hatton.

I mean whiskey actually made a joke about that recently, I didn't think for a minute that it was even a vaguely realistic possibility

Actually it wouldn't be hilarious, but you know what I mean :kidcool:

Like REED Said IMMEDIATELY AFTER the Floyd-Marquez Bout, Floyd Should Have ACCEPTED Sugar Shane's Face to Face Challenge...They Could've ENDED '09 or Been the 1st BIG Fight of 2010...But Nooooooooooooo, Floyd DIDN'T Want to Do That:shit:...

Sure, Marquez had NO Chance of Winning, but He was a LIVE Opponent...& Floyd Went 12 FULL Rounds w/him, which Shakes Off ALOT of Rust...THAT was Floyd's "Tune-Up"...Taking ANOTHER is BOGUS...Hatton & Salita R JR. Welters & Quintana is a Glorified OPPONENT These Days, after 2 BRUTAL Losses...Those R Fights that NOBODY will have Interest In, ESPECIALLY if Floyd DARES to Deem them PPV Worthy...

Hopefully this is just a SMOKESCREEN, Cause REED Couldn't Think of a WORSE Follow-Up Scenario for Floyd...Shit, NEGOTIATE The Pac Fight 1st, Get it SEALED, THEN Fight a Half Assed "Tune-Up"...Shit, him & Pac Can BOTH Fight Half-Assed "Tune-Ups" on the SAME Night, just to HEIGHTEN Interest even Fuuuurther...

no tuneup is needed. If you are great like you say you are, you fight now. both of you recently had fights, now you can fight each other. Its perfect.

the definition of a "live" opponent is one who has a chance to win. JMM was not a "live" opponent.

Floyd doesn't want a tune-up, he wants an easy pay day. This fight would have no other beneficial outcomes....it will actually turn more people against him. I don't know who would broadcast it. HBO must realise that they are gonna have to play hardball with Floyd.

Still, i wouldn't take the quotes from Floyd's interview with sky sports too seriously. It's a thing a lot of american boxers say, just to be polite.

This is from before the Hatton fight but I think the point still stands. Pac is not scared of Mayweather. Also when has Pac called out anybody ever?

    That's YOUR Definition...

To REED, a "Live" Opponent is a Guy that Keeps U HONEST & is @ Least TRYING to Win for the Duration of the Bout...Marquez was Certainly OVERmatched, but he was a LIVE Opponent Nonetheless...

If that's your definition of "Live," then you're bound to have a lot of misunderstandings using the term.

    :shit:

From DAY ONE, REED Classified Marquez as a "Suitable TUNE-UP"...Check ANY Thread Containing ANY Post REED Made Regarding that Fight...Marquez was a LIVE Opponent in the Sense that he KEPT Floyd Honest Enough to Where he was NEVER Comfortable Enough to Go OUTSIDE of himself...

I can't believe some of you are giving him a pass for another tune up? :notallthere:

Fuck that! JMM was his tune up and going 12 rounds is what he needed after the layoff.

Floyd himself was recently talking shit about Pacquiao not calling him out. So he knows the fight has to be made now. It has been brewing perfectly for a while now.

Another tune up for either guy will just kill the momentum. Besides there is no need for another tune up.

People are sick of watching Floyd fight anybody but Pacquiao.

What I dont' understand is why Floyd would put this out there? that whole thing about having "options" is obvious. But mostly it makes him seem like he is looking for another easy payday. Fuck that!

Fortunately Roach has said that a fight with the winner of Mosley-Berto is another possibility if Floyd isn't interested as is another fight with JMM.

Unfortunately Roach also said that the fight would have to be at 145lbs because he has to protect his fighter.
