Alabama even with his new internet false teeth, (courtesy of manny's recent win), just can't quite bring himself to bite.

Marciano didnt really bleed that much in his career.

He swelled a bit, but the idea of Marciano as a bleeder is myth, he didnt cut an abnormal amount by any means

exactly. Ring magazine did a special [as they alone can] on the 10 best fighters of the Century and Marciano was portrayed as some sort of defence-deficient fighter whose "skin opened at the slightest insult".

Which is piss-poor revisionism, if you ask me.

Then all fighters are defense deficient, as they all get hit.:notallthere: Sure, let this wide interpretation of the word "deficient" rule the discussion.:shit:

No way you make it through the heavyweight division...ANY heavyweight division, with no defense, and not only dont get killed, but rack up 49-0 with 42 or 43 KO's.

He was cute enough- when he got dropped by Walcott, he didnt make the same mistake again and Walcott never got close to him with the same shot.

Marciano was a poor defensive fighter, especially before he won the title, there's no way to change that. It simply IS
