OK, I guess I see it like two of the paid officials did, first 6 to Guzman, last 6 to Funeka on my card and that makes it all even barring a 2 point round and there were no such tonight.

Watch it with the volume off next time, bro.

I barely even pay attention to HBO commentating anymore Karl. Guzman got beat up. Even the rounds he won..........he barely won, while Funeka dominated several rounds with straighter, cleaner shots.

Guzman was winding up and landing lots of gaudy, telegraphed arm shots that looked a lot more damaging then they really were.

Bute is on the same roids that George St-Pierre has been on for years...Quebec is notorious for its high quality roids. The sport of boxing is being destroyed by these roids monkeys.

Honestly yeah 8-4 is about as generous as I can be to Guzman anyways. After the first couple rounds he got his ass kicked. I felt like I might have been generous in a round for him to. LOL. Guzman can still do well at 135, but he can't beat Funeka from what I saw tonight. he can't hurt him and he's not busy enough to outbox him.

Funeka was robbed...I had it 9 to 3 Funeka. His team should launch a complaint with the commission and demand an immediate rematch.

Maybe he can get a job as Pacquiao's sparring partner, I think he can do a decent job at emulating Mayweather with his style.

Ive been high on Bute the whole time. Prior to last week I considered him the 2nd best supermiddle behind Kessler. But after what Ward did to Kessler, and after last night.... I'd have to favor Bute as the best at 168 w/o a doubt.

Great night yesterday at the Colisé Pepsi!

The ambiance was great and we were spoiled with very good fights. Even though Funeka dominated (IMO he won 9-3 and a case could be made that he won 10-2) it was a pretty entertaining fight. Guzman is tough though, he took some very hard punches and had a nasty cut on the eyebrow. Around the 9th I thought he was ready to go (very nice short right hand BTW) but he hanged in there with a very hard puncher. He deserves props for that. Funeka got robbed though and the crowd seemed to think so too. This guy should have left the building with a strap around his waist.

There's not much to say about Bute-Andrade except "Wow!". Bute looked phenomenal in there. Very fast and accurate. I think he left no doubt last night as to who is the better fighter. I think stamina is still a question mark with him though but if he always fight like last night that might not be too big of a problem. There first knockdown was a nice demonstration of Bute's speed. The knockout was beautiful, what a body shot!
I wasn't sold on Bute, but last night made me a believer. The guys a handfull for anyone around 160-175. It's a frickin shame that he isn't in the supersix.

    Oh and : Where's Double L?

He was very slick during the first few rounds doing things that most world-class fighters cannot such as parrying punches, rolling with others, and ducking out of the way. The headbutt and the broken nose seemed to affect him a lot.

Probably a fight that could be viewed differently at ringside vs the tv with the commentary. Worse decisions happen regularly.

Yep I was there. It was the first big boxing event in Quebec city's history. It was great. Especially to see the HBO crew here, it gave it a big event feel that wouldn't have been there if it would have been a Interbox only production.

I would have loved to take a pic with Lennox Lewis, unfortunately the security guards wouldn't let my 5'8" ass anywhere near Lennox... I guess they understood how dangerous I am...

If that's the case I think it's possible that somebody bought the judges and placed a very high wager on a draw.

You can find these odds for basically every fight. 19 for 1 is pretty low.

man, that fight was so NOT one sided. Guzman was dominating early. It don't think it was a draw. I think Guzman lost maybe by a point. But it was a close fight. You people are being swayed by HBO so much it's ridiculous.

I was there, I wasn't hearing the commentaries. I was hearing the impact of Funeka's punches on Guzman. I was seeing the big looping punches of Guzman that were landing on Funeka's shoulder. Guzman won the 2 first rounds, after that he didn't win many rounds, if any.

Funeka got robbed, bad. I thought he won a clear decision. That poor guy cannot get a break, he fought his ass off for nothing. That is seriously fucked up.

Funeka could've won that fight with his jab alone.
