I honestly think you have me mistaken for another poster, my friend:nono: The only time I have ever said Floyd should fight Hatton was when they all were at 140. Floyd chose to move up. Since the DLH fight I have been saying that the only fight I am interested in seeing Floyd fight in is Mosely. After Williams beat Margarito I said that Floyd will never fight Williams because he doesn't want to lose that zero in the loss collumn. When Floyd called Hatton out after the Castillo fight I said the only reason he is calling out Hatton is to avoid Mosely.

You are right RJJ was p4p#1 because he had not lost, but it was obvious he was shot after the first Tarver fight. Floyd was #1 after Roy was KO'd.

Boxing forums are a motherfucker, man. People can dig all kinds of stupid shit up that you dont even remember saying and make you look silly, simply because it's such a tough sport to get right consistently.

How could any of us know that Manny wasn't human? Evne back then, if someone told you he'd knock out a 135, 140 and 147 pound champ, along with Oscar De La Hoya all in the space of two years? Well, you'd have tem commited for sure.

    Yep.

I couldn't believe what I was reading when I clicked the thread. Amazing how things can change in two and a half short years.

The idea of Pacquiao being a legit fight for Mayweather is insane when you sit down and think about it.

Revise history much? It was a clear win for Morales and Morales was not in any danger in the 12th. Manny lost, get over it.

Hector "Macho" Camacho did it first. I think it was when he fought De La Hoya.

Manny Pacquiao represents all that is good in boxing. Valor, heart, strength, power and aggression.

Floyd represents everything that is wrong, cowardliness, crying in the ring, beating women, fiscal irresponsibility , fakeness, homosexual entourages, running in the face of battle, retiring rather than face Antonio Margarito.

Floyd might beat Manny in this godless world, but he will never have the adoration of a country or the love his family. Manny is a good person. Floyd is a criminal, a savage by anther name.

He was still bad ass enough to switch southpaw and trade with Manny.

Remember Tam, first fights are the most meaningfull, you said it, not me.

    Morales > Pacquiao.

    Morales, greater than Pacquiao?

Just because you beat a guy doesn't mean you're better than him. Morales didn't beat shit else and while exciting, is easily one of the most overrated fighters in years.

I dont know if the question can be answered without first giving some attention to the global dynamic- economically, culturally, politically.

In 25 years, there may be a renaissance in all things American, and Mayweather, along with the performing artists of his era, will be exhumed and celebrated more.

Or, it may well truly be the Asian Century , with all things Oriental celebrated ad infinitum.

It is unlikely that Slapsy Maxy Kellerman will be wielding a bigger stick in 2035 than he is now.
