    Exactly.

At one point I thought people were being harsh on Berto, and he was actually being underrated.

But now I see he just isn't that good.

I think Mosley beats the shit out of him, and Berto looks a bit out of his depth.

People are thinking Berto is slicker than he really is.

He's pretty quick, but he's not some master boxer or slickster.

For example, I'd say even Bradley is a slicker, more well rounded fighter, and slightly harder to hit.

Berto should have some success purely on speed and youth, but Shane is so tough and strong, still pretty fast, and hits hard, he'll take over in the mid rounds and KO Berto.

Lets hope Shane sees Berto's name up in lights and mistakes it for Balco.

I think Mosley is going to KO Berto around 8-9.

Where is Berto going to win the fight at? He can't fight from a distance because he is not a boxer (w/ a reach disadvantage as well), and he's going to have to get inside, where he'll get hammered by Mosley's overhand right every time he comes in.

He can't fight inside against Mosley, who's bigger and stronger than him. Truthfully I think this is where we'll see a lot of the fight take place. Berto does like to clinch a lot and I can see Mosley pushing him off and nailing him with lead left hooks and right hands.

I know Sly made the point that Mosley fights in spurts, but guess what? So does Berto. Berto will clinch fire off a combo and reset. He has no jab to bother Mosley with either. His speed will be his best asset, but I can actually see Nazim telling Mosley to tie him up whenver he does, and Berto will fall right into that.

Also, I've seen Berto tire down the stretch in fights where as Mosley gets stronger. I just think Mosley is too experienced, skilled and tough for Berto. Plus we all know about Berto's chin. Mosley WILL land and he will land often, especially after the midrounds when Berto's pace slows.

    AgREED.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Berto up 4-2 after six rounds. The problem is, Shane will constantly apply pressure and doesn't tire down the stretch. berto seems to get winded down the stretch.

You're right about Berto reacting strangely to punches.

I agree with this...though I don't think it's Shane's right hand that does Berto in...it's the lefthook. Shane's one of the best at turning over his left hook while his right hand tends to loop. Berto will get under the right hand fairly easily...especially early.

Shane hooks off his jab with the best of them...if Shane uses a hard jab and simply throws it at Berto's chest, he keeps Berto off balance and at a distance...meaning Berto's got to work to get inside...once Berto's looking for the jab it's easier for Shane to catch him coming in with a hook.

    "However"

if Shane goes to that pawing jab, Berto counters over it all night long...gets in and ties Shane up then the fight restarts.

Shane can't lead with lefthooks, jump in with them,...berto will him time coming in with right hands.

if Shane's jab is on Berto, berto goes out. If he's pawing with it, berto has a shot to potshot and stink out a decision.

We all agree...if Shane loads up on a lefthook and catches Berto...it's lights out.

This is so typical of you. History has shown you to be just as big a Mosley hater as Sly.

I love how you spout off non-truths just to make your arguments work. Such as Collazo not being as good a boxer as Berto even though Berto isn't a boxer at all and Collazo is. Berto is a slugger with no defense. Then you try to say Berto moves better than Collazo which is bullshit too. Berto has some of the worst foot speed and movement in the division. He makes Cotto look like a track star.

I really love how you say in another post that Mosley is a sucker for an uppercut - which you're obviously basing on the one big uppercut that Forrest landed right? - and coincidently Berto just happens to have one of the best uppercuts in the game according to you. You're fucking brilliant I got to hand it to you.

Look I agree that Berto has a small chance here, and that Margarito really made Shane look awesome in that fight but don't try to just spout off a bunch of nonsense that isn't true when all you need to say is you think Berto can do it with a jab since you're dumb enough to think that'll be enough.

Sly is just making this stupid ass prediction so that if lightning strikes he can make a glorious chest pounding come back.

Truth is, Sly will never be heard from again. Mosley by KO.

For a changing of guard fight you actually have to have two fighters of the same caliber, one younger vs the older counterpart. Berto ain't that.

In the golden age,.. Liston vs Ali,.. featured two American legends,.. one of which was screaming for the fight to be stopped, about 2 rounds before the other one quit. Now I dont have the same attitude that most 'old school' fans have about quitting,.. but this fact, has got to hurt, and it serves them right.

Yeah, Liston was actually OK. He just wanted to earn a living, unlike these flash morons today who pout and snarl for effect, and then fade down the stretch.

As much as I agree in a way,.. I can handle quitting after a bit of punishment,.. but taking a dive,... man,.. a contemporary European ought to be burnt alive, while white american scribes type on laptops around the bon-fire.

Even your Arabian prince, copped shit for wishing the fight to go to the rigged cards initially, rather than fight 8 more rounds with his jaw hanging off his skull.

some of you are acting like Mosley is in his prime or that Berto is a complette scrub.

I pick Mosley by UD but I can see Berto winning enough rounds to make it interesting.

I think that slow ass Margarito made Mosley look better than he is at this stage.

Before that MOsley looked like shit against Mayorga. The same shot Mayorga that Oscar had on the canvas in the first round prior to that.

Can anyone imagine Berto doing to Margarito what Shane did to him? No? Me either. Berto has a glass chin Mosley by 5th round TKO.
