Haye wants to be your man. But Haye is in the very early stages of developing testicles, so it may be a while yet.

Anyone who thinks Vitali is "shot" really should find another sport to watch.

Sounds like you are setting up an alibi in case he loses any time soon. If he was close to being shot he would be having more difficuly with his opponents. They are mostly crap, but he's still winning with room to spare. When Vitali starts stuggling with or losing to the likes of a fat mediocrity like Arreola, then I can see making a case for his being "shot".

Is he less of a fighter than before? Considering his age, probably so...but he is far from shot.

The heavyweight division is so putrid that Vitali could be wheeled into the ring on a stretcher in a coma and he'd still win a decision

Vitali could be in in the ring that condition and Kevin Johnson would STILL be "fighting" just enough to last the distance.

    Not at all.

I was trying to balance how he looked against 2 undefeated, fresh contenders with how he looked against guys like Sam Peter. I was asking if he had slipped, or was it more that they were making life harder for him. Thats all.

Vitali has much better concerntration compared to say, someone like Calzaghe,..I re-watched the Bika fight recently,.. and if anything effects Calzaghe's legacy, I think it was that fight,..
He applied the desperate, repetative 'pot shot - hold' tactic that Hopkins employs with regularity, it was disgusting and one of the most cowardly bitch performances of his entire career,.. and just after that, I re-watched Bute - Bika,.. in only Bute's 19th pro-fight,.. he discouraged Bika, backed him up, and dominated him with absolute ease, it was the far superior display,... Im really suprised that Calzaghe got through his whole career without a loss to be honest,.. sometimes he could look like a dumb, amatuer, weak scrub.

Bute is a bigger man than Joe, no? Also, Calzaghe was trying too hard, to impress after the Lacy demolition.

It's true he's bigger,.. but Bika's got more than enough strength and heavy hands to have turned Bute into a bitch,.. but it never happenned,.. it was Bika in the end who backed up to the ropes, squirmed, cried and carried on,.. This fight actually openned my eyes a bit on the subject of Calzaghe's improvision skills,.. on that night, Calzaghe was a very desperate man, no legs, no stamina, and completely discouraged,.. if he and Bika were locked up in a cell for the night,..I know who would be on the floor weeping and begging for mercy by the morning. Im not a Calzaghe hater, but styles make fights, and on that night, had Calzaghe lost points for holding like he should have,...I think Frank Warren would have vito'd the whole show and disqualified Bika on the spot, in some outrageous German styled manouver to save his prize from a definite KO loss.

Vitali has definitely slowed down, but that is all.
He still has the power when he lets the hands go, can still go the distance easily.

Would be interesting to see him against a heavy hitter to see how his punch resistance is, should be ok though.

I am indomitable, for sure, like the Scots themselves. Ah yes, Oats, in England, food of horses. In Scotland, food of men.
