When you say this will be kept out of the media and do nothing but negotiate through the media it's all for show.

It's all part of the promotion. Arum has been at this a long time.

So Pacquiao is gonna stain his legacy w/ all this steroid talk?? If he doesn't accept the testing and wins...the cloud of steroids will be on him for ever...if he accepts the testing and get dominated like never before..again cloud over him...was Pac soo good because of roids? AND if he accepts the testing, is clean and beats the shit out of Mayweather that seed has already been planted in the minds of fans, writers, etc..e..tc...

All he has to do is accept the test and even if he gets beat, as many expect, I don't think anyone will care. He will accept the test soon.

exactly, Pac is obviously a little bit slow in the head, but I seriously doubt he'd be dumb enough to accept something like this. Plus, since when a steroid ( or any enhancing performance drugs for that matter ) scandal has been good for a sport ???

He is asking a good question and I would like it answered. Are you clean Manny? Anyway, if the fight is off tomorrow we know it was real, if it's still on then the whole thing is hype.

It was agREED that the Media would B Kept In the Dark During the CONTRACT Negotiations...On that Note, EVERYTHING had been agREED Upon PRIOR to Team Mayweather Pushing for Olympic Styled Testing....BOTH Sides Fulfilled their End of the Unwritten "Silence" Agreement, Until the Contracts were Worked Out...

One a side note, this board is fucking popping because of this shit. Some of the best posters are putting some of their best arguments and its clear to see why this forum is great. the knowledge alone is very good.

I am finding myself ODC'ing out on it. Checking every 10 minutes for a resolution. Might have to get off the board and just wait till someone tells me. It also sucks cause I have 100 on Mayweather on my bodog account and it's"fight has action if it takes place in 2010" Does that mean I have to wait until 2011 to get my money back if the fight isn't made this year?

yeah i think this is all hype see article below

    http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/284677

"Boxing commentators and analysts say that the Pacquiao-Mayweather match has long been agreed upon between the two promoters (Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions). It is a done deal according to them. And the real reason why the contending parties are 'washing their dirty linen in public' is their common desire to create hype and maximum public awareness to the promoter's most ambitious promotional event"

Wow, does anyone believe this to be true? That in order to raise public awareness of an event that the public was already keenly aware of the promoters purposely created rumors of one of the combatants using illegal performance enhancing drugs to cheat, thereby forever staining their career?

If so, then boxing has truly become more insane than it already was, which is saying a lot.

What's next, Lennox Lewis comes back to fight Vitali amidst rumors that Lewis killed a police officer and buried his body in the desert? And then Vitali would insist on Lewis taking a lie detector test pre-fight to ascertain the validity of this?

No I don't believe it, it would be too absurd, and I just don't think they'd do something that would make Pacquiao look bad, and make the sport look bad.

I think it is highly unlikely to be true, but I wouldn't be totally shocked if it turned out to be a publicity ruse.

Presume for a moment that Manny, after all of this shit starts to die off a little, ends up taking these tests and passes all with flying colours. This would put him pretty much beyond all repute I'd reckon in almost any eyes. In those circumstances, Pac regains his public popularity at a stroke and Mayweather is made to look a complete douche. For about the trillionth time. Like he'd care (remember his radio interview posted here a while back).

In the meantime, PPV sales projections go through the roof...

Like I say, this is all highly unlikely. But impossible?
