I was reading Ring Magazine and they said that the picture of Antonio with his wraps showing after the Cotto fight showed some red coloring on the padding that was identical to the same red coloring found on the hard knuckle padding that was collected before the Shane Mosley fight. They think the same hard plaster that was attempted to be used against Shane Mosley was the same substance used against Cotto. If you look on the picture below you'll see the red coloring right near the pinky on the left hand. Margarito's representatives claimed it was red dye that leaked from his boxing gloves. When told about this Cotto said he felt Margarito should be banned for life.
Another great one liner from Tam Tam the talking puppet everyone. :bears::bears::bears:artie: Just pull his sting and watch him go.
If it can be proven to a board of commissioners or governing body representatives, Margo should be banned for life. That's some Luis Resto-Billy Collins bullshit right there.
Well in Tam's defense, they kind of made a big deal about it during the Pacquiao-Cotto PPV show two months ago... and it was already floating around the net for a while by then. I guess the bigger story here, though, is that people still actually read Ring Magazine.
Fuck Tam. As for still reading Ring magazine, I do it very rarely these days. They had an interesting story that caught my eye and I figured what the hell, I need some toilet reading material anyway.
I don't buy PPV's so I missed the story. I hope you guys can one day forgive me for posting something that HBO already told you about. I know you guys time is short with all the numerous threads that get posted around here and don't think for 1 second that I take for granted the grief I've caused you.
:laughing: It truly is a terrible periodical and the internet should have buried it long ago. What do you know about a guy who writes in RING and likes to call himself the Bargmeister or words to that effect?
Ring is hard to find in my area, but I always enjoy sitting down and reading one every time I get a chance.
We should all tune in tomorrow to see what news lib can bring us back from the past. Im hoping he has some news regarding the upcoming Diaz v Malignaggi rematch. Can't pick a winner there.
The Ring is still not bad when it focuses on history, mythical matchups etc. I enjoy the special editions they print once in a while. As far as current events go, it's worthless. That's not just because they're behind by the time it goes to print, but they don't have much to work with. Other than the "news" which is outdated the opinion columns can't match what' already been posted in online articles or just in message boards like this one.
I'm deeply agraviated by the spirit of this thread. Did the Nevada Commision discover ilegal wraps on Margarito the day of the fight? No. This clearly demostrates that Margarito didn't cheat in that fight. All we have right now is a bunch of anonymous crackheads in a boxing forum throwing hurtful accusations to a nice humble mexican who gives back to his Tijuana community and is very catholic. Assholes.
Word..... Not once did NSAC discover ANYTHING illegal in Margarito's gloves. Not once! To baselessly accuse Margarito of wrong-doing is an INSULT to all hard-working Mexican KIDS who treat Margarito as a NATIONAL hero.
I get The Ring every once in awhile, usually when it has some articles dealing with fighters of the past. Sometimes you get some good comedy, such as Gavin Evans proclaiming "David Haye is easily the fastest heavyweight since a prime Muhammad Ali".
How do Margarito haters dare to question his win over Cotto over some pictures!? This is an outrage, they're not above the commision! And the commision was perfectly fine with Antonio's wraps. Am I wrong here?
No, U're NOT Wrong Here....Fuuuurthermore, it's Pretty OBVIOUS that Sugar Shane was Trying to GET OUT of the Fight when they Asked for Margarito's Hands to B Rewrapped...Fucking COWARD...Someone Should Start a Bandwagon... REED:kidcool:
I just today forked out £4.95 for January's edition and wished I hadn't. It's absolute gash. MTF :shit:
And even if there hadn't been a problem with the handwraps, Mosley would have found something else illegal to bitch about to try to get out of the fight...
Yes. You are wrong. It's one thing to suspect that a fighter cheated in his previous fight, having been caught cheating in his last. It's another to suspect that a fighter, never before having been caught cheating, intends to cheat in his next fight. Nice try. But you're way off base. Next!
No he wouldn't have done, because the fight was already signed and ready to go, we're talking about the day of the fight, you fucking mook ::
That's really beside the point when you consider we're talking about Mosley, who has a track record of always taking on the best competition, and not PBF, who hasn't fought a ranked guy in years.
How do you explain Mosley's campaign at 135, then? Really, Double, you should try not to lie so much, it's just embarassing.
