i hope it is true because there are no other opponents i want to see Floyd fight besides Mosley or Pacquiao. And if Floyd can get in there with both of them this year??? Or hell whatever even if Mosley pulls the upset and we get Mosley-Pac??!! That would be a great year either way.

too bad some many at this site are "done" with the sport of boxing. yea, fuck boxing.

Once Pac beats Clottey, and Floyd beats Shane... it'll make Pac-Mayweather an even BIGGER fight. Just goes to show that neither side ever intended for the March 13th date. Its all going according to plan. Now the question is, can Clottey or Shane foil the plans?

Mayweather v Pac is squashed because of Mayweather's fear of PED....and now he's fighting the welterweight Ben Johnson? Something here doesn't sit right.

..and they are probably not even bright enough to do the fight under Olympic style testing, at which point Floyd and GBP will deserve a shitload of shit from the boxing public.

Either way, Mosley is as much of a challenge as Pac. That's my opinion, props to Floyd.

About a decade too late and leave it to Bitchboy Floyd to have Mosely out for almost a year and half before he fights him, but considering Floyd's complete contempt for the well being of the sport that made him rich and general lack of balls since Castillo Castrated him, I like this fight. I think people will be disappointed at how little resistance Shane is going to put up. Floyd wins easy.

That's a very bad opinion. Shane in 1999 MIGHT BE A challenge, but not now. I understand that Shane looked great in his last fight. It is just funny that half the people here were saying Margarito was something of a glorified clubfighter and then Shane beats him and Wow "Shane is the best, an ATG." You guys can't have it both ways. Shane before that needed a last second Kayo to secure a victory over Ricardo Mayorga, a shot one. Still, with as shitty as Floyd comp has been lately, I am grateful. That was the little cunt's plan the whole time, but it worked. I'd rather Shame than Cintron, Malignaggi or Campbell. For some reason, it has been alleged I am in the Floyd hater camp. Like most of the so called haters, we only wanted Floyd to fight someone at the weight class he has been at for almost half a decade. At least, he is doing that. I'd prefer Pacman, but if not Shane is an ok choice.

I don't disagree that Shane is past it. But he is a pretty good sub if it's not going to be Pac.

No, disagreement. Really, who else at 147 is there that is better than Shane for Floyd to fight right now. Williams, but he isn't a draw even compared to Ballroom Shane. If I really were a hater, I would just shit on the matchup. I really can't think of anyone better after Pacman of course.

I think Pacquiao is a tougher fight than Mosley due to his southpaw style, relative youth, energy, awkward angles, etc...Mosley is however bigger, rangier, more suited for WW, and has that looping overhand right (one of the few punches Marquez was able to get through on Mayweather).

I've underestimated both Mosley & Pacquiao in the past and there's no way to found out unless Floyd fights both, but it's just my guess that Pacquiao is the tougher bout.

The three best/biggest fights out there are between these three.

What the hell is with some of you people? Mosley, in his last fight, dominated the top welterweight in the world. No matter how much you hate Mayweather, you surely cannot complain about Mosley being some sort of soft touch.

He is a real welterweight and no worse than the 4th best welter on the planet, including PBF and Manny (if they count).

Aside from fighting Paul Williams or Pacquiao, this is by FAR the best fight PBF can make.

Hate him if you want, but you cannot hate on this fight.

smart move by mayweather. mosley's been long sidelined and should be affected by inactivity.

meanwhile, clottey poses greater threat to beating manny than mosley pulling out the upset.

i pick both may and pac to win, but can't see how pac escapes unscathed.

if pacquiao somehow blasts out clottey in an impressive fashion, i might actually pick him over mayweather.

The Million Dollar Question is, will Clottey DARE to Walk Right Into the BUZZSAW Known as Manny Pacquiao, Behind that High Guard of his???...&, Is Clottey Capable of EFFECTIVELY Fighting ANY Other Way???...

Clottey has LESS of a Puncher's Chance than Dela, Hatton OR Cotto Did, so his ONLY Option is to Stay CLOSE to Pac...Manny's POCKET Game is Virtually NON-Existent...But U've Gotta Walk Thru Pure HELL 1st, to Exploit Pac on the Inside...

I can definitely see Clottey giving Pacquiao hell in the early going, fading and throwing a punch every leap year, and then complaining about being on the losing end of a decision.

His propensity to come forward with his head can be dangerous for Pacquiao though. Maybe Pac is cut and the fight is stopped before Clottey gives up his lead.

I'm not really sure whom I think has a better chance at pulling off the upset. Clottey, I guess.

We were rather fortunate the past few years. We will basically have had a welter weight tournament when all is said and done. I can't recall the last time in a division where so many of the top guys have fought each other. And this was even before Pacquaio came out of nowhere to become a top dog at 147 himself.

Even back in the 90's when the top dogs were ODLH, Mosley, Tito, and Quartey, we didn't get to see those guys fight each other. The only thing that wound up happening was that every guy fought Oscar while Mosley, Tito, and Quartey did not get matched against each other at all.

Today? Look at all the matchups we've had and will have had when the smoke clears:

    Margarito-Clottey
    Williams-Margarito
    Cotto-Clottey
    Margarito-Cotto
    Cotto-Mosley
    Mosley-Margarito
    Pacquiao-Cotto
    *Paquiao-Clottey
    *Mosley-Mayweather

Definitely one of the better few years in boxing without a doubt based off of just 147 alone.

There are a lot of things that you don't understand clearly.

Being critical of PBF's aversion to genuinely seeking out the greatest challenges available to him (which I think is the problem that most fans of boxing have with him), doesn't mean that you automatically think that he would lose to all of them.
It simply means that you are a boxing fan that want's to see a great talent fight the best competition.

clottey does fight one way so if he weathers the storm early, i have a feeling that he might bust up pacquiao a bit. not sure if he'll do enough to win. on paper, this is a pretty damn good fight.

I didn't read past az cat's post and admittedly, maybe I should have. but it seemed he was indicating that some guys here had a problem with Shane? Got no fucken idea why. Granted people can complain that it didn't happen before...who cares. It's still a good fight in this POS weird ass 147 pound division.

Mayweather v Mosley is a fight I'd pay money to see and there isn't a bunch of those out there right now.

Seriously, what's with you people? Since when is the biggest choker since Zab Judah a bigger fucking threat than Shane Mosley? Clottey doesn't even talks or looks like he thinks he can win this fight. Clottey will start OK then stop throwing punches more and more and beging to get too happy to cover up and not get KO'ed.

Clottey has lost every single big fight. EVERY SINGLE BIG FIGHT. He's a choker, he has no chance.

So would you consider Clottey beating Manny a bigger upset that SSM beating PBF?
Also, who do you consider the biggest threat to PBF: SSM or Pacman?
