That's pretty much irrelevant. Other fighters have tried transcending weight classes on a much, much smaller scale and failed miserably.

Although ironically, as pointed out in Hauser's article, Floyd himself has transcended approximately the same amount of pounds as Manny in a similar timescale, the difference is when Manny was a 100 pound pro, Floyd was a 100 pound amateur at a similar age.

 

Of course we could, I'm just wondering the other side.

They both chose to leave 40 mil on the table, the reasons for that decision on both sides are just speculation as of now.

It's possible neither one really wanted the March date, and all the huffing and puffing and drama was just playing big dick, it's possible Floyd doesn't really fancy his chances against Manny, it's possible Manny is PED'd up to his eyes, and it's even possible that Manny is a bit freaky about having tests/having his blood taken etc.
