It makes a certain amount of sense. For openers, he has a punchers chance. That pushes him up the scale.

This is Green's big chance......and maybe his last.

That is funny to say for a guy who only has ONE loss....but is probably a fact.

I say Green takes advantage of this opportunity.....and shocks the world by winning the whole tourney.

given that you're about 2 big macs from being on "The Biggest Loser," I'd safely drop "anorexic" or "skinny" insults from your repetoire.

its good to see your black bias isn't absolute. Lets just briefly go over your last several takes on black vs. not.

    Roy vs. Danny Green?
    Andre Ward vs. Mikkel Kessler?
    Andre Dirrel vs. Carl Froch?

    now

    Allan Green vs. Andre Ward.

What do your picks all have in common?

Please enlighten me on any I might have missed in the last year or two, I'm sure there are others.

Allen Green does not deserve to be in this tournament. Bika at least was somewhat competitive against Calzaghe. Green got outboxed, outhearted and humiliated by Edison Miranda:lol::lol: The guy has done nothing in his career except talk shit and then stare at his shoes rather than fight. This is disgraceful. At least Ward and Dirrell were unknowns. Green is at best a gatekeeper and has very little chance of being a legitimate champion as Edison Miranda proved. When the going gets tough, Elane Green gives tough looks at his shoes.:lol:

I agree with the sentiment that Green fights below his max potential all the time. No sense of urgency is right. He has little focus, but when he does put it all together he is formidable.

So I see the swap of Taylor for Green as basically a wash. Taylor was interesting because he still has the ability to outbox other super 6 contestants, and probably still has what it takes to get an early KO against someone who plods in and stands in front of you. However, Taylor was clearly approaching the deep end in a swamp of shotness.

Green can't box as well as Taylor, and often has boring fights where he just sort of coasts through rounds... but at least he is still more or less in his prime, and is a hard puncher. He may chalk up a win somewhere. Probably not against Ward though.

By the way... I don't think "puto" is a word. "Puta" would be better since you get the "you're a bitch too" slur in there.

Well, thats pretty fucking disappointing, bika vs green would have been an acceptable qualifier and potentially exciting fight in its own right, and instead we get underprepared underachiever Green going straight in against ward...I wouldnt be surprised to see little more than a kevin johnson performance which he will rationalise in terms of having to come cold into the super six, but next time he'll show the real allan green...

When I listen to Green speak, he sounds like a College man. Is Green a college man? Is he more inclined to academia than he is to boxing? Is he more of a Mike Grant than a Mike Tyson? Is he just passing through boxing, picking up a pay-cheque here and there, or is it a full-time thing for him? Is he the Jim Courier of boxing, basically. Paymous rather than Famous.

When faced with an American vs a Euro he choose the American? Or when faced with the slower, boring, more technical fighter, he chose the more talented speedy, exciting guy? :dunno:

When it comes to Green vs Ward REED's always been a pretty big Green fan, so this post is pretty baseless.

You talking about Jermain Taylor? When has he ever KO'd anyone of note at super middle much less even middle. Hell he had trouble putting away many of the jr middles he built the bulk of his wins on. His power claim to fame of late is dropping Pavilik and Froch but he's never stopped anyone of note lately. I gave him zero shot of beating anyone in that tournament. Well maybe Kessler as bad as he looked.

Say whatever you might about him, there's one thing nobody can take away, as hard and as desperate as they try,.. he beat, twice, and I quote, "The most masterful, brilliant, genius boxer of the last 20 years" , he can now retire, with Bernard Hopkins arse, on the mantlepiece,.. and nothing can ever change that.

JT may as well give that arse to you for YOUR mantlepiece. I think you'd get more joy out of waking every morning and seeing it "sitting" there (pun intended) then JT ever would.

Hopkins to Taylor "Say goodbye to your family" ,..

Nah I think Taylor shares Hopkins arse, and his wife's vagina with his cock, infact, Jermaine probably bangs her ontop of it, then slips it in below for a bit.

    Fuck this squabbling.

Reed...make sure and ask Green about how he regards boxing. Press the sumbitch....I bet he is in this for the money and the occasional big win rather than any legacy, and I bet he has plans to go back to school or is already in school.
