According to Fightnews "Arena CEO Ahmet Öner, promoter of WBA featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa is facing allegations of racketeering, assault and coercion in Germany according to the Hamburger Morgenpost. Öner has denied the charges." I remember someone here posting a youtube link to a fight where an Arena fighter either got KTFO or was in the process of getting KTFO and Oner was going apeshit at ringside.
Turks. Gangsters. That fighter was Konstantin Airich, who can fight a little bit. He ran out of steam against Danny Williams having had Williams in all sorts of trouble early. Williams also suggested live on TV that Airichs gloves were loaded. Basically, this cologne-soaked little runt was running around at ringside ringing the bell like a motherfucker...after 30 seconds or so. It has nothing to with the card in Spain. This goes back to a Universum card in 2007, when Öner and his crew where asked to leave the ringside area by some very deutsch looking security. It resulted in a brawl, physical threats were exchanged. Öner threatened to put Universum chief Kohl or his father in a wheelchair. Öner has now been sentenced to two years on probation and a fine of 120000 Euros, to which he said: That is nothing for me. Universum was trying to put me away, lock me up, but I´m not the broke irrelevant mofo. At least I have a TV deal.
Oner loves to play the race card. He will always be there, turking it up with his buddies, flush-faced cologne-saturated morons. I remember the incident, Sauerlands goons flung them out.

I was half waiting for Bam Bam Bigelow to jump out of the crowd and into the ring and bash one of the fighters in the head with a folding chair while the ref is obliviously distracted on the other side of the ring by Bobby The Brain Heenan. ::
The thing of it is that Airich can actually fight a bit. But rather than go through the training sessions and do the roadwork, they just try and wing it when things dont pan out. Bottom line is this guy is running a fly-by-night operation. Then the threatens with deportations fighters who wont do what they are told when they are told. Which is ironic, coming as it is from a Turk.:shit:
I think he would have knocked out Williams if the ref didn't keep on stepping in and giving an 8 count every time Danny got hurt. Maybe they pulled the ref out of the amateurs for this fight, though even that wouldn't explain all the many things he fucked up on throughout the course of the bout.
Airich cant fight a for shit, he's barely european level. Williams needs to retire, I see he pulled out with a "virus" against derek chisora for his british title, more than likely he wasnt up for it after sexton pulled out
Airich can´t fight worth a damn. Just last week he lost all eight rounds to Alex Mazikin, Mazikin had two points deducted for low-blows. So in the end Airich walked away with a draw.
I didnt say he was the 2nd coming of Ali, I said he could fight. And he can. If you can't fight, at all, then Danny Williams, even a shot Danny Williams, is getting you out of there without any trouble. Airich is around European level. Of course, the bollox may have fallen out of his life since 2007, and obviously he is being badly promoted. After only 9 fights he nearly did a number on Williams. Come on. Thats a bigger risk than Haye took after 9 fights. Be fair.
He can´t fight. Airich sucks. Danny Williams did knock him out and he is messed up. Danny dazes himself, when he rubs his head dry after a shower.
