    My inaugural thread here. I think it's a great, great fight at Bantamweight.

    Whose hand will be raised in a clash between two of the better 118lb. champions of the past decade?

    I like Rafa... his questionable punch resistance shouldn't come into play because of Ayala's lack of pop, and I think he's got the skill advantage.

    Would have been a very fun fight to watch.

    Wouldn't it just? An avalanche of punches thrown. I think Marquez's harder shots --- no less precise, either --- would be the difference in a close contest. I could see a 2-1 outcome if they fought a trilogy. Probably to Marquez, but Ayala was once a great fighter, capable of beating him.

    I don't if i'd call Ayala a "great" fighter but i agree with the rest.

    Well, not to convey I meant he was an all-time great. He wasn't. I thought he was a great fighter, on his best night, in his own right, though.
