The Dorin fight was Gatti's only impressive performance. Many at the time(including myself, I admit) picked Dorin to win that fight. But the rest? Ward always sucked, Millet was shot to shit, and Lejia was 325 years old.

Any real trainer will do better than Joe Santiago. And the first thing the new trainer has to tell Cotto is to box more and not look for a KO with every punch he throws. Also to remind him he used to have an excellent defense and bring it back.

Cotto is not a KO-crazy fighter. The trainer should teach Cotto how to clinch effectively, how to defend himself effectively from right and left crosses and how to set his opponents for damaging power punches. He needs to develop that right hand a little bit more IMO.
