    Negotiations are on the way.

I'm losing respect for Juanma. And now his future rival will step to the plate and fight the one he's running from. Fucking shame.

It's Arum's pattern. See Cotto/Margarito's careers before they met. Now see Pac/Clottey. He will only make tough fights when he exhauts his options in his own stable.

My guess is negotiations with Caballero will break down, and Gamboa will fight a softer touch, probably someone from Arum's own stable.

Arum feints a lot when it comes to making a fight with a fighter outside his stable who is a real threat. I guess it's understandable, but it doesn't make his lying and posturing about it any easier to stomach.

My guess is noegotiations with Caballero will fall through. You watch.

If they fall through, I suspect the negotiations will go like this:

Arum: Gamboa is a bigger name, he deserves 70%.
    Caballero: Okay.
    Arum: I meant 80%.
    Caballerro: Okay.
    Arum: I meant 95%.
    Caballero: Okay.
Arum: I mean you should pay us $10,000 to fight Gamboa.
    Caballero: No.

Arum: After being unable to reach an agreement, Gamboa will be fighting someone else in June.

IMO Caballero is not a threat to either guy. I'd pick both to beat him.

Whether or not you think Caballero would beat either guy (Gamboa or JuanMa), there's no denying he's a real threat. And it's pretty ridiculous for Arum to claim otherwise considering that JuanMa bothered to face DeLeon, who at the time, had long since been beaten handily by Caballero.

Keep in mind that JuanMa, whether he's better or not, has the bigger upside than Gamboa. And so don't be surprised if Arum protects JuanMa at the expense of Gamboa.

I agree the a fight with Caballero should happen but at the same time I dont think he is as good as he was. Lopez should have taken the fight, beating him and moving on...

I barely say that a fighter ducks another, Juanma-Gamboa is a total duckjob. The money is there.

I think that Arum knows that Bernabe Concepcion will be a bigger draw among the filipinos than Gamboa among the cubans and Concepcion just earned his shot at Juanma's title creating an instant Puerto Rico vs Philipines atraction. These two countries just started their rivalry (Pacquiao-Cotto) and Concepcion beat boricua Mario Santiago to earn his shot plus Sonsona will fight Vazquez Jr.in Puerto Rico. This rivalry will translate in more PPV plus both Gamboa and Juanma can always fight later in a bigger more lucrative bout.

JuanMa is turning into a bitch. I guess that's what happens when you barely survive against Rogers Mtagwa.

Juanma has been ducking Caballero since 122

They were supposed to fight for 3 belts and Juanma promised to fight him before the Luevano fight.

Caballero even offered to pay the sanctioning fees and fight him in PR and Juanma still didn't want to.

Then when Juanma moved up and was asked if he would fight Caballero at 126, Juanma said first Caballero had to prove to HBO that he was a big name fighter.

I saw that interview with Arum about both Gamboa and Juanma cleaning up the 126 division before they meet each other which is fine by me but already we are seeing Gamboa possibly fighting Caballero.

Whatever it takes not to match up Juanma and Caballero I guess

by the way Juanma vs. Caballero would have meant more than his win over that stiff Luevano I don't care if it was for another WBO on another division.
