There are lot's of good ones that have escaped mention, IMHO, because of the perceived bummishness of the fighters involved.... Wlad showed a lot of heart vs Sanders...I mean, he did keep getting up. Abraham vs Miranda in the first fight, that was some heart. I mean he was literally showing heart, as in..."look at the shit my heart is pumping out my mouth" ....Vitali vs Lewis......
Williams - Potter Behind on the cards, knocked down, arm dislocated out of its socket for 2 and a bit rounds, and then... <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/QY1jzjTjIhY&hl=en_GB&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/QY1jzjTjIhY&hl=en_GB&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I was waiting to get home from work to find and post this, only to see you have beaten me to it... Bastard! :flip: MTF ::
How stupid was Potter...........all he had to do was stay away.........if we ever get a "Greatest Display Of A Lack of Brains" thread then Potter will be mentioned, for sure.
Its funny I have heard about the Williams fight, and saw the KO but never saw the whole round. And as I watched it at first I was like this guy does not have a dislocated shoulder(as i have dislocated it boxing before as well) cuz he was throwing waaay too well, then I see him throw a right hand and his arm collapse, I was like "oh now its gone, holy fuck I know that feeling) What a tough fuckin bastard Danny is...my God.
Yeah it was hanging down by about 6 inches. I've dislocated my shoulder before and I can tell you it's the WORST pain you can imagine. To continue fighting in that pain and without use of your right arm is just insane.
Well I dislocated mine in boxing...it happened and I didn't know what it was it just fuckin felt awful but i just switched and started jabbin with my right hand... but this was in sparring and my trainer then put it back in place... I decided i was fine and went back in and dislocated it with the first jab, thus now my shoulder is shit...
That fight was incredible to watch, I'm still as amazed seeing it now as I was back then. I've always been a fan of Williams, especially after that. He was infuriating at times but when he was on it he showed alot of talent. He was never an elite level heavyweight like Klitschko etc but certainly good enough to have won an alphabet title or something. His heart sure outweighed everything else though as he proved again against Klitschko.
Danny's tactics were all wrong. He should have used the patented "Short Fight Explosion" as perfected by Sanders. Instead he used the "eat loads in training camp" method and was blown out.
Haha, yea I have no idea why he came in so heavy against Vitali, it was bound to fail. The best shape I ever saw Danny in was against Kali Meehan where he won in 27 seconds or something, in fact I think it was his first fight after the Potter KO, he was in great shape for that, fast and explosive as you say. Funny thing I became friends with Mark Potters niece or cousin or something like that and she told me Potter had come to terms with the loss now and can have a joke about it, but it took a fucking long time ::
That yoke out of S-Club was a big fan of Mark Potter, you know, the yoke who was involved in the Shilpa Poppadoms thing on BB. Not the dead yoke, the other yoke...the blonde.
I can do pushups but after about 15 or so, it starts to become more of a one armed pushedwith my other arm helping a little, . Shit is really weak...and it constantly feels fragile.
young Juan LaPorte versus Salvador Sanchez... he walks into one beauty after another but he never stopped trying to win... Sal was just too good Fernando Vargas against Trinidad, to come back from a devastating opening round like that and keep the result basically in doubt until the very end... great display of heart Ezzard Charles in the first fight with Marciano Ali and Frazier against each other in the thrilla in manila
