Lazy, lacking heart and desire, slow. Well at least now Manny can say he had fought and beat a Black fighter. But of course Clottey's style and skill set is nothing like many Black American fighters.

There's something wrong with boxing if Joshua Clottey ever gets a major fight again. He should go right to the opponent list for top 10 ranked up and comers. His punk ass would rather touch gloves and embrace Pacquaio than him with anything with evil intent.

Who would you have prefered Manny fight (that would have been willing to fight him)?

Exactly. People complain that Clottey is a bum but forget that at least he was willing to fight Manny.

Are you saying there are no fighters in the top 10 that will take a fight against the guy. There are guys who they and we know wouldn't have a chance at winning but they would at least give an honest effort.

I have more respect for Hatton than Clottey, at least he gave it a go and tried to win

Well he can't avoid the PBF-Mosley winner now because there's nobody else out there really. The division is not deep at all like it was at one time. Andre Berto? I personally havent seen him enough. What are they going to dig up Zab Judah. It's either fight the winner or go run for office or something.

    I can't see Manny-PBF happenning.

    • Neither will cave on the drug issue.
    • PBF will demand the lions share of the purse.
    • Manny has just looked unbeatable again.

    So let's get this straight.

    01. Manny is refusing to adhere to the same drug tests that all olympic athletes do.

    02. I'm pretty sure the financial side of the deal had already been agreed to.

    03. Manny beat up a guy who wasnt there to win. I'm sure Floyd only has to pop in a tape of Pac vs. Marquez and he'll be fine.

Manny can make 140 EASY. Pacquaio should enhance his hall of fame legacy by cleaning 2 divisions out simultaneously.

Alexander The Great would be a great fight. Timothy Bradley.

Manny Steward said Pacquaio is not even a real welterweight. Yet he is fighting REAL welterweights, top-ranked, former belt holders and shutting them out.

Is that too much to ask of OTHER top 10 p4p FIGHTERS?:dunno:

to knock clottey as an opponent is silly. he has faced several quality fighters and NO ONE has beaten him like that. does anyone believe mayweather jr or mosley wouldve beaten clottey as decisively?

Floyd would sweep all 12 against Clottey too but he wouldn't give him the fierce ass whooping Pac did. Granted Floyds a clean fighter and Pac isn't.

Since Manny beat Clottey it proves that Floyd would have done it too and therefore he was right not to fight him

    My post was very clear.

Even if you dissagree with the 3rd point, do you honestly think that PBF would settle for 50/50 after he beats SSM?
Do you honestly think that either side will cave on the drug issue?

BULLSHIT. Clottey was a top 5 or so welterweight & a good opponent, lets not distort that because Manny monstered him, due to styles. Not a great opponent, but actually probably better than anyone Mayweather has faced in his 4 1/2 years at the weight.

Lot of bitterness going on in here today, the Pac-Haters seem to think that Clottey was their JJ Jeffries, the man who would put the druggie and his crippled pimp in their respective places. Didn't happen, and now we see the bitterness.

Gee, I don't know myself, it might help if Floyd fought somebody like him once in a while, instead of fighting guys like JMM.

    Clottey
    Margarito
    Cotto
    Collazo
    Berto

....were all more legitimate 147lb challengers than the poor midget Mexican they dragged up from Juarez and doped with cash offers.

    Pound-for-Pound? More $600,000 per pound.

Vanilla Ice, please,....why wouldn't he fight Juan Manuel?,.. he tamed the UNSTOPPABLE BEAST who all the top welterweights can barely go the distance with,.. you gotta learn, clean smaller Lightweights, destroy larger men,.. I reckon they should get rid of the idea of weight divisions unless it's to protect the bigger fighters from the smaller ones.

Try telling Cotto and Margarito that Clottey is no good. Anyone who's conclusion following last night's fight is that Clottey is not a good fighter simply isn't taking everything into account., including the fact that Clottey landed more clean shots on Pacquiao than either Cotto or ODH.

FightBeat is troll city. A person who moves up in weight and actually gets better is not greatness, it's because they are cheating.

God forbid, a boxer 20-30 years from now does the same thing or better than Pac, will get the same treatment from "boxing fanatics" aka haters.
