Was just reading a similar thread in General Discussion. Thought it would be fun to do over here.

First guy that comes to mind is GSP. The guy never slows down. Another is Clay Guida. What says you?

When he was 170, I'd say Diego Sanchez. I think he hurt his own cardio by boiling down to 155.

Clay Guida is a good one. GSP. Sean Sherk is another GREAT one. Matt Hughes in his prime was as well.

In his day Tito Ortiz was a cardio machine. Today, everyone raves about Cain Velasquez's cardio, although he really hasn't needed it in his fights.

Tito was a machine in his prime. I agree with you about Cain. I would love to see him in a fight in the 4th and 5th rounds. Something tells me we could if he gets his shot at Lesnar.

That's right, how could I forget Tito and Koscheck? Tito nowadays looks to gas out somewhat, but he used to look amazing.

I would say Anderson Silva, but he rarely uses his cardio. The guy is a wrecking ball.

Chael Sonnen has great cardio. All action, all the time!

I forgot to add GSP and Kenflo as well.

Well other than the obvious choices you guys just put out, I would add in there Gilbert melendez as well, his cardio seems pretty amazing, for the way that he fights.

    Nick and Nate Diaz
    GSP
    Guida
    Sherk
    Edgar
    Griffin
    Sonnen
    Bonner

And one guy I'll add that always impresses me, even we he got beat down by GSP, is Jon Fitch. The dude is always coming at you. Even with GSP, despite getting knocked down, smacked around, Fitch never really slowed down.

And what about Mayhem? He has a motor that always goes.

Now that its said, all those guys at Caesar Gracie have great cardio and stamina. both Diaz's, gilbert Melendez, Jake Shields. Good camp:bears:

Trplsec has a great one in Jon Fitch. The guy never stops coming. And the example of the GSP match was a great one. He was 100% dominated and never stopped pushing the fight.:cheer:

He's definitely a good one. Faber is another one that just came to mind. Something tells me Jose Aldo is too, although we haven't seen it needed yet.

Yeah seriously. You watch the fights with GSP and Shields and Mayhem is the fresher guy in the last round in my opinion. He has that crazy cardio.

Meathead is definitely perfect. On the flipside, out of UFC fighters who has the worst cardio?

BJ does't deserve to be mentioned among the worst. He had some issues at 170 but at 155 his cardio has been just fine. Even at 170 it's not like he was gassing after one round. There are plenty of guys who have far worse cardio than BJ.

OK, it may not be the worst, but BJ has always had stamina issues. It is definately worth noting.

Ask Florian and Sanchez about BJ's cardio.
