    Ray Mercer vs Wladimir Klitschko

    • Ray knocked out some bum and then mouthed off to the cameras about how he wanted "You....Klitschko".....he then got cut, dropped and bashed, uh, mercilessly for 6 rounds.

Buddy McGirt vs Pea Whittaker II

    • McGirt claimed a bad rotator-cuff had robbed him of the chance to compete with Whittaker on an even keel the first time. After an even start to their rematch, Whittaker, recovering from a knock down proceeded to make a total fool of McGirt for the remainder of the fight.

    Vargas vs De La Hoya

    • Vargas was the ugly duckling of the LA fight scene, forever in the Shadow of the Golden Boy, despite his own World Title and amateur credentials. Having chased Oscar for a fight, including throwing eggs at his car, Vargas finally got his chance. After an even first half, he was badly cut down in the later rounds, floored, cut and eventually stopped. He then failed a steroid test afterwards. Loser.

David Telesco vs Roy Jones Jr.

    • Jailbird Telesco had pursued Roy Jones for a title shot for years, following him to press conferences and ripping his shirt off by way of a challenge. Jones finally obliged and even with a bad wrist beat the shit out of Telesco for 12 one-sided rounds. Telesco faded into obscurity afterwards, and is rumoured to have spent his entire purse on replacement shirts.

Did RJJ ever have a good performance in which he wasn't injured?

In fairness, he did fall off his motorcycle beforehand.

Vargas - De La Hoya is the perfect example of this IMO.

Such was the veracity with which Vargas pursued Oscar, the duration of the pursuit, and the damaging nature of his loss and subsequent ban...I too would have to say that Vargas-DLH is the nigh-on best example, certainly in living memory.

Just about everything Vargas did from 1996 to 2002 pertained to getting Oscar in the ring. Even fighting Tito pertained less to Tito than it did to overshadowing Oscar and showing Mexican-Americans how do do the job properly.

Throwing eggs at his car post-Quartey....bad mouthing him....all built up that fateful night.

Vargas didn't take a shit from 1996-2002 unless that shit pertained to Oscar, in some way shape or form.

The beating he took, being floored, cut and totally out-skilled, and the fact that it transpired he had to cheat just to lose so badly....he must have regrets about chasing and taking that fight.

:nono: Well I know what Vargas didn't ask for in a fight with Puerto Rico's Margarito equivalent,.. can't wait for the next thread boasting about how Tito ruined particular fighters careers.

Yep. Good call. Mitchell made a shit load of claims that he had been this and been that and been the other in the first fight, hurt my knee....twisted my bollox, etc. He was simply never in it the 2nd time around.

Hatton vs Pac might also be a good example, as Hatton had argued that he was the man at 140 and had never lost there.

Mitchell was never really in the first fight either unless you count holding and hitting.

Amberlamps slithered out on his mothers filth. Beard Man is the prophet. He's the smart one. Has his own little room now, 4 walls, padded, profitable little entity.

Yes, I absolutely agree that Daniel Planview,.. is THE DREAM,..for any ambitious Irish Right-winger,..

It's the best case study for the intellectual sociopath I've ever seen, a very impressive movie, very impressive acting, both worthy of all the awards they recieved.

Funnily enough,.. for a political system, they would vote on the same side,...that's the great thing about this symbolic Eli character,.. a vulnerable, gullible, simple christian,.. that the sociopathic predator lures and USES to enhance his own power and control,..and once the narrow-minded 'Trust in the lord' hicks have fulfilled thier use, the sociopaths suck the blood out of them, or EAT THEM,...."I told you I would eat you Eli!!" ....:crafty: ,..

........how do you think a Republican government works?.. :crafty:

    Great film, great film,...

Joey Gamache actually went to HBO headquarters himself to propse a fight between Arturo Gatti and him and to sell what a great fight it would be.

You saw how that one turned out. I've seen video games that weren't as graphic is that one sided asswhuppen.

    I didn't know what.

For what it is worth, Gamache should have sued Gatti for every dime he had. Gatti didn't make weight.

Gatti is dead. And Gamache is still alive. Funny how shit pans out I guess.

They actually changed the rules for weigh ins because of that fight. Both camps have to give a thumbs up now when a fighter weighs in.
