His eyes say it all...he is distinctly uncomfortable. Not with fighting Mosley, but just with standing up and talking to a hostile crowd....... ...it's another reason why I think Floyd will be less kindly remembered than other fighters of his era....for all his claims to pfp greatness, he fails badly at the PR game....... ....While Floyd sincerely has no doubts that he will beat Mosley, he just doesn't sound like it when he talks. Roy Jones has no reason to be convincing about his chances vs Hopkins, yet does a far better interview and actually sounds much more confident. Mayweather, conversely has a better chance against Mozley, but sounds and looks utterly unconvinced. Every boo or cat-call is met by Floyd looking like he is about to bust into tears.
PBF has always been supremely confident in the past. I think it's fair to say that confidence has been one of his stengths. If he doesn't seem confident, I think it's more than a little odd.
When he says "All Roads Lead To Mayweather"....the crowd horselaughs him and he himself looks entirely shifty, his eyes flick left then right then left and back again......It's odd, I have never seen him look that uncomfortable.
you're talking about a guy here who cried like a bitch just because he couldn't get no love.:: He's a dumb confused kid at heart.
Looked to me like he handled the situation relatively cool. With all the heckling and chatter, he'd did well to say what he could. Doesn't matter though. Floyd is going to make Shane look slow and old. Floyd said it best, he ain't Cotto or Margarito that are they to be hit. Shane is still solid, but he's not fast enough at this point to catch Floyd consistently.
I think the guy just has some social insecurities. I can't stand him and I am definitely rooting for Mosley, but Mayweathers inability to speak effectively in front of a tough crowd has no bearing on his ability to handle himself in the ring.
Yea Hatton owned Floyd in the pre-fight conferences, especially in England, but it didn't mean shit in the fight. Floyd does need some new lines though, if Shane wasn't in shot or the background didn't have his name on it, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this and any other presser he's done.
well, slowly but surely the facade PBF's created regarding his invincibility is bound to come crumbling down. it's possible PBF's shiftiness is panic in the face of this. PBF is obsessed with how people perceive him - that means he's very much in touch with what people think.
Most boxers (and people in general) share that obsession. Besides I don't see Floyd going out of his way to make friends, do you?
I saw the exact same things that Irish saw. I mean the way PBF lift his hand in the air can only prove that he's scared and not convinced. Also the way his eyes are darting back and forth. Dude is terrified. Get the fuck outta here. You fucking internet dudes are so fucking good at reading body language, the way a fighter speaks, the way a fighter looks on weigh in day. Ya'll should all be fucking physics! I'll Holla 5000
I didnt say he was terrified. I am sure Floyd will beat Mosley and Floyd is too. He just looked like he was really really upset at the whole thing with the crowd...... "All Roads Lead To Floyd Mayweather.........:crying: :crying: :crying:........."
Mayweather is UP for this fight...which is baaaaaaaad news for Shane Mosley. If Floyd was taking Mosley lightly a chance for an upset would exist...but Floyd knows that Shane is still dangerous and so we'll get the best Floyd on fight night.
Yeah, he's gonna give Shane a beatdown similar to what he gave Oscar.:: A lot of posturing, running around, playing on the ropes, backfooting tip tap bullsh*t. What a "beating" Shane is in for.
Lennox Lewis was a paid professional but he didn't take Rahman seriously in the first fight, cuntfeatures.
Honestly,.. I'd have cared about this priority if we didn't have a drug pumped little mutant in the same division fighting in Texas with conveniently no drug screenings,.. but I need Fraud to win, because his testing clause will continue to put the burn on the corrupt commissions, and on Arum, Roach, Ariza, TREVOR GRAHAM (Pacquiao's special strength and conditioning coach BARRED from the USADA) and ofcourse the much marvelled Manny "GOD MODE" Pedquiao.
Yep. Sad thing is that it's possible Floyd is a decent guy on a one on one basis but plays the arrogant mouth because that's what sells fights to the general public. I could be wrong on this point but it's not the first time someone turned up the arrogance a notch when they're in the spotlight. I've heard Mundine described as polite and humble in person.
Quite a few people in a book on Muhammad Ali (I think The Life and Times by Thomas Hauser) described Ali as being quiet and shy behind closed doors.
:crafty: You really think a proven narccisstic, sociopathic, racist, wife-beating thief like Fraud is a decent guy behind close doors?... Perhaps by American standards he is,.....:crafty:
