I dont know Illum, Williams chin has been cracked now. It will be very interesting to see how Williams can handle Cintrons power. This is a great fight!

Yes it has. Williams was dropped and badly hurt in his last fight. Williams can get very sloppy with his punches and this is where Cintron has a chance. Regarding Cintrons power I agree, it's overrated against top opposition but he can crack.

If Cintron wins this, and if Floyd beats Shane, then, by The Floyd Mayweather Proxy Method, is this a win over Williams for Floyd?

If Martinez was able to outbox Cintron in their fight...Williams will have no problem doing the same. When they are in the middle of exchanges having the heart to take the punches would become a factor..we know Williams has a lot of heart...and we know Cintron has a lot of bitch in him...

Dangerous fight for TP for the first 5 rounds, but after that he'll break the Frog. Williams TKO 10.

    This'll be a shellacking.

For some reason my initial thought is Cintron will last the distance, but he'll lose 12-0.

Is Cintron moving up to 160 for this? Haven't PW's last two fights been at 160?

I have no faith in Cintron's resolve. He's merely a prettyboy quitter...

Right. I don't believe that people think Cintron won't do damage in this fight. For 4-5 rounds, he boxes reasonably well and fires a decent number of power shots. Paul Williams is a great guy to watch in part because he's so damned easy to hit. So for me, this boils down to whether or not Paul Williams handles the punches that Cintron will definitely land in the first 3rd of the fight. If he does, he wins. Cintron cannot possibly keep up the workrate necessary to win a decision unless he somehow hurts Williams enough to both pile up points & slow Paul down drastically.

This is a good matchup, although I expect Paul Williams to win by clear decision or late round stoppage.

lol, he's no "prettier" than Tall Paul, hardly a pretty boy.

Anyway Tall Paul by decision, could be a half decent fight.

Good post I agree. Like you mentioned it boils down to whether Williams can take Cintrons power.

Paul Williams is one of a few rare fighters that keep me interested in this filthy disgusting sport,.. he's a real fighter, with his height and reach he could easily mimmick American hero Bernard Hopkins and pot and sprint and hold his way to eye searing illegal decisions and even retain much more respect than he gets now,.. but instead, he lets it all fly,..for 12 rounds he throws as a spinerette of puffs, scuts, knicks and rubs and to those globally who dont hold his nationality against him,.. he's a boxing saviour.

    Cintron to die in 7.

Gotta agree with this one. I see Paul having no trouble with Cintron's overrated power and likewise making that powderpuff easily wilt under his.

Kermit should try to box Paul. If he tries to slug with Paul (which Paul would happily do) the fight will only be that much shorter for Cintron.

Maaan...if this fight was at 147 where they'd have 8 ounce gloves..this fight would be so much more interesting to me. At welter, Kermit has legit power. But at 154? Not so much. Williams defense or lack thereof could really do him in against a genuine puncher. But I think Paul is safe for this one since Kermit's power doesn't seem as devastating above 147.

Of course he is, he's tall Paul.

In all seriousness, the 6'1 listing for Paul is utter bollocks, it has to be. He towers over everyone, he's more in the 6'3 range, about Pavlik's height.

Kermit looks like a legit 5'11, and does that look like a 2 inch height difference?

He's a legit 6'3. However he doesnt fight tall, so in the ring he prob is closer to 6'1".... as opposed to guys like Hearns, and Monzon who knew how to maximize thier height.

In any case, he's gonna put a beating on Cintron. I'm just saying that I wont be surprised if he gets hurt, or dropped in the process.

After re-watching Cintron Margarito I and II I lost all hope for Cintron. He has some serious bitch in him. Williams is too much man for him. Williams UD and I wouldn't be surprised he stops Cintron.

How the hell do you jump from "Cintron has a chance" to "Williams is too much man for him" so quickly? It took you rewatch the Marg fights to come to that conclusion?

Williams is way too much for Cintron. Even though we have all witnessed the crack in Williams' invincibility this past 18 months or so. I still think he takes Cintron, and takes him out rather easily.
