I don't mean fighting a professional fighter. I mean fighting a random Joe like yourself but live on tv and in front of a packed Vegas casino. You've trained hard and you're ready to fight after a good training camp. But now you must fight in front of 12,000 screaming fans and your fight will be broadcast around the world where millions of people will see you. Do you have the confidence to go through with this? How much money would it take for you to step in there where your ego and dignity is at stake?
I too would do it for free. The chance to fight a pro in front of a crowed of 12+ in a sport that i love? Sign me up.
Godfather, you would get excited about a crowd of at least 12 people? By the way Hanzy said NOT a pro, just an "average man". I'd do it for free if my training expenses and everything else was covered. I'd beat the shit out of you on TV for free Hanzy.
Would you definitely rather take the 10 grand to curl up in a fetal position and let me tee off on you, possibly rubbing my large Jewish member on various parts of your body as I get in better position to punish you, rather than fight back and defend yourself and your pride for free?
100 bucks? i'd hold out for a grand maybe.. actually.. as much as I could get.. but i'd do it for free.. I'd prolly pay a lil money to be able to
REED is Certainly NOT a Badass, but Give him @ Least $1,000, Medical Coverage (for Any Injuries he Incurred) AND a 4-6 Week Training Camp & he'd Fight a "Random Joe".... REED:hammert:
For a guy who won't even post his pic on here, you're saying you'd gladly go out in front of 12,000 people on television with millions watching you on tv and fight? Whatever! You wouldn't do that sh*t for free, Gatti. It would take a million just to drag your ass outta your bedroom.::
This a great question Hanzy. I train regularly at an MMA gym and I have stepped in the cage, 3 times to be exact. These are local amateur shows, definitely not in front of 12,000. More like 200 approx. The first time I went in, the butterflies were unreal. But the adrenalin is such a rush, I can understand why the elite level guys have a hard time bowing out when their skills diminish. I can only imagine what it is like in front of a sold out arena.:cheer:
U've Had Sanctioned Fights, Jarhead???....U Been Holdin Out on ya Boy All this Time???... REED:dunno:
I really don't know why I never revealed it before:dunno:thought about it a couple times but never wanted to come off as a bragger. Two ammy boxing matches as well. All together I went 5-0, figured it was a good time to retireartie: I just the love the gym,
It AIN'T Braggin if U Actually DID it, Bro!...5-0, Huh???...U're the Rocky Marciano of MMA::...What was your "Specialty"???...What Weight did U Fight @???... REED:hammert:
I fought at 170, I probably should have been at 155 beings I'm only 5'9":: I had a win by sub, a win by tko and a win by UD so you could say i didn't specialize in anything. As you know REED, most guys without real boxing training come in throwing haymakers, so having a crisp and straight "1-2" combo with good takedown defense served me well. My chin is decent too.
WTF?!? Dayum!!!! I didn't know you were the real deal, jarhead!! And I was thinking about stalking you and making your life a living hell on this board just for fun since I ran out of other guys to stalk on here. I think I'll be moving on now....Take care! Hanzy out!
Hanzy, you are the man, you fuckin crack me up, homey.:: But as for the real deal, no, not me. 3 ammy fights in an Indian casino hardly puts me on that level. I just didn't want to go to my grave still wondering if I had the sack to get in there. My last fight I won by UD, but the guy did a number on me. Some state champion wrestler from Wyoming, slammed me two times real hard. I couldn't get up for work the next morning and I knew it was time to let the young guys do this stuff.ld: But I still go to the gym about 3-5 times a week. I get to corner for alot of the fighters there. I am just a fan of the game, brother. I love to spar and the trainer, Rick, makes some of the new guys that think they're hot shit roll with me. Its always a kick in the pants when they get the business handed to them by the old guy in the gym. If you really want to know, I wouldn't have got in the cage if not for my son talking smack to his old man. He trains at the same gym, and I was trying to pursuade him to do a submission/grappling tourney. He said he would if I fought on Rick's next card. I had to put my money where my mouth was, you could say.
Pfft! Medical coverage is for wusses! Just do what Caligula does and ask for a hotdog and a beer while you're bleeding like a f*ckin' stuck pig!!! That's hardcore, baby!!!! And then after, you can just catch up with the pack later and hand out individual beatdowns after you've gone home, logged onto FightBeat(while still bleeding like f*ck) and tell everybody how you're feeling so alive! :bears:
