Povetkin's Team Want Klitschko To Pass WADA Drug Tests

I'm saying there is very little in the line of an accurate description of the substance taken. Did he get kicked off for taking a PED during a training camp? I am requesting a re-definition of the parameters of the failed test, is all I am doing.

 

He was kicked off for an "anabolic steroid." Not sure how that could be mistaken for something else.

 

I took anabolic steroids when I was in hospital with asthma as a child. They prevent muscle wasting and keep the trachea clear.

Yes, but did it improve his performance, was it intended to improve his performance, above and beyond his normal, injury-free capabilities??

 

No one can say for sure whether he intended it to improve his performance. But that's what athletes usually take anabolic steroids for. But according to all of them, they do it to heal injuries. Unfortunately - if that is actually the case - that doesn't make it right either.

 

The steroid is useless unless it is ingested in circumstances conducive to it's intended effect, viz. dose, training regime, cycle length, oral vs intravenous etc.

It does appear that Vitali did not take the steroid as part of a programmed designed to give him a physical advantage his otherwise healthy body was normally bereft of.

 

According to who? Vitali? Obviously it was part of some program since he tested over the allowable amount.

I think it's pretty clear Wlad understands what it's like to be an ambassador for an ethical cause,..and I'm pretty sure he understands what strong and sophisticated testing means for the sport that he reips the most benefits out of,.. and I'm sure if he's clean, he wouldn't want to face a supernaturally charged up revolting cheat,.. so really,.. what clean fighter would object?.. seeing as it's an implementation that protects him aswell?..

Povetkin is obviously intimidated with taking his mandatory shot, as evidenced by his withdrawals and previous actions in waiting on his mandatory position for years, but this is an awesome little question, it will give him a legitimate 'out' if Wlad were to refuse, because a fighter who requests a mutually clean fight, has the right to do so, however if Wlad accepts,..it helps to prove him as a clean champion, much praise to him,..and then if Povetkin withdraws as a result of Wlad's willingness to comply,.. ok,.. you're a scared bitch, trying to weasel out of the fight and save face at the same time. OWNED.

 

Wasn't Povetkin supposed to fight Chagaev and hurt his ankle, and somehow fell off the WBA bandwagon and onto the bumpier ride that is the IBF Express??

Using this logic, only those who test positive should be tested. Not even standard urine tests. Of course then no one would test positive.

 

One thing is for sure....people should not be tested simply because their mandatory is looking for a way out......
