In case anyone forgot, Berto-Quintana is on Saturday. I woulda had much more innterest in this card had Cloud-Johnson not been scrapped as the undercard. In any case, Berto will probably win just off of youth and speed. But I'm hoping Quintana can regain the form he had a few years back, and pull an upset.

Hoping that Berto wins so that Floyd can fight him after beating Shane...in case the Pacquiao fight still can't be made.

These words should not even be uttered. If Pac OR Mayweather fight anyone other than each other then they should both be boycotted.

I have thought about this fight for a long time now and have come to a decision on the outcome. I think Quintana pulls the upset via MD.

The fraud is getting lucky though. He bailed on the Mosley fight(a fight he woulda gotten KO'd in). 147 has gotten pretty thin. Williams, Cotto, and Cintron have all moved up. Meaning that Berto can do well as long as he keeps away from Floyd, Manny, and Shane.

Quintana I dont THINK has enough power to expose Berto's jaw. But then again, Quintana isnt exactly a feather fist, and he certainly can land on Berto. Maybe Andre's chin is even shittier then we suspect. Stranger things have happened. If Quintana pulls the upset I wont be shocked cuz I dont think highly of Berto at all, plus we all wrote Quintana off in the first Williams fight and see what happened. But still, I reckon Berto's youth and speed will carry the day.

No love here for Berto. I'm just curious as to why? He seems very likable.

That Williams fight was ages ago and Quintana was quickly dispatched in the rematch. He's got enough miles on him where Berto should go through him fairly easily.

I doubt it'll be as tough as the Collazo fight which is why Berto's not rematching Collazo...who SHOULD have been his mandatory.

I'm wondering the same thing. I noticed alot of fighters around here get labeled frauds for no reason.

Not everyone is meant to be great but you don't have to be a bum either there are levels in between.

Besides Berto was never hyped as something special. He is a nice little fighter no more no less.

I'm in 100% agreement with this post. Everyone always expects each fighter to be the GOAT. I mean damn Berto is solid at what he does and comes to fight everytime he laces em up. I'll Holla 5000

Exactly...the word fraud for Berto is stupid. He's a good fighter with strengths and weaknesses. That makes him a fraud?

BTW Berto by TKO 9th round

Let's not sugar coat this, Berto IS a fucking fraud. I know the term gets thrown around a bit much and it's often unwarranted, but in Berto's case I think he's done enough to earn it.

He's the WBC champion yet seems to still consider himself a guy who's not ready to step up. He really seems like he doesn't want the Collazo rematch, and he fights really negative. I still remember him clinching like a bitch against Urango acting totally petrified. Then Alexander who's in a lower weight class fights Urango who's actually stronger at 140 and Alexander shows more balls than Berto does.

If Berto didn't have that belt and did what he does I wouldn't consider him a fraud, but having that belt means you're one of the best and that means he should be trying to fight the top dogs in the division. He isn't and doesn't seem to want to, therefore he's a fraud.

berto is a solid titleholder, he handily beat quintana. I think his athleticism is what saves his ass at the end of the day since he got zero boxing IQ. He's a like a smaller faster version of Jeff lacy.

Lacy at least had a good chin.

Disagree. He picks his shots way better than lacy, is more accurate, has better defence and footwork, punches in combination and is more fluid. The comparison is a joke.

Yeah you're right Lacy is better than Berto because he has a better chin. :notallthere:

Really? I agree he doesn't have the greatest IQ but 0? If that's the case how do you explain him out-jabbing the taller, more experienced southpaw which enabled him to nullify Quintanas offense and get his combinations off?

I think there about on the same level. Lacy was a bigger puncher with a better chin, Berto is faster and more athletic. Both lack defense, and ring IQ.

Mosley woulda been Berto's Calzaghe had the fight happened.
