Yo...I knew that pavlik was one-dimensional long before he fought Hopkins and made a big thread about hopkins dominating Pavlik based upon this just before that fight.

Suddenly...after the fact..everyone knows that pavlik is one dimensional.

you guys are claiming that fighters who have had trouble with the movement of the likes of Hopkins, PBF and ODH fall into the same category as Berto? a guy who couldn't find his own ass-hole against Quintana?

No one is saying that Corrales and Tito are the same as berto...we are saying that they apply according to the original criteria of your thread (before we knew that it was merely an agenda against berto)

So what? If Hopkins revealed it to everybody what you already knew, so what? Sure, it makes you clever, but is that really the point you are trying to make? Or does this have something - anything at all - to do with the actual topic.

And btw I agreed with your Hopkins-Pavlik pick

well is anyone acknowledging that it's one thing to be troubled by the movement of Hopkins, PBF or ODH, but quite another to be troubled by the movement of Quintana?

The PROBLEM Is, Stafford is ATTEMPTING to Belittle REED for Picking Pavlik OVER Hopkins, Even Though HE PICKED Taylor OVER Pavlik...

yeah but Stafford felt fully vindicated because Taylor "nearly" stopped Pavlik before getting KTFO himself.

In answer to the question of the thread: Simon Brown...at least against Terry Norris in their second fight AND against Troy Waters. I remember little of Brown any earlier than against Tyrone Trice...which is ANOTHER example of the same.

True. And then Stafford tried to claim partial credit for that wrong pick because Taylor "almost" won (according to Stafford). Which is REALLY weak. But at least Pavlik KOing Taylor spared us from the endless Taylor propaganda being spouted after Taylor beat Hopkins.

    He doesn't, imo.

I think more like Dingaling, James Butler (who I see you mentioned in the next post, haha), Letterlough and pretty much any short Mexican fighter.

Apparently. Because you can't try to say Coralles doesn't count because Floyd is so great he'd give anyone trouble with movement. In case you forgot, several lesser fighters all gave Chico trouble with movement like Casamayor, Roberto Garcia, and the aforementioned Freitas.

So maybe you should have just titled your thread something similar to one of these:

"Guys who can't deal with movement and have no skills."

"Guys who can't cut off the ring and suck."

"Fighters you don't like because they are not very good boxers at all"

In defense of those who pick against Hopkins, he has to get old sometime and it is unusual to see a man have that kind of success that late in his career. Regardless, I can't remember who I picked for Hopkins-Pavlik...but probably Hopkins.
