Audley Harrison... In all seriousness, I have major issues with calling any professional boxer a 'coward'. These dudes fight for a living, FFS MTF
D is the worst, IMO. Tacit quitting, where they don't even have the guts to just quit. It's usually fat heavyweights who do it. I reckon its all the fucking estrogen in their system.
This has been done also by Roy, Barrera etc. It sure makes for crap fights but since the fighter only hurts himself by this 'quitting' I have no problem with it. The only cases when I criticize a fighter is when he tries to cheat his way to a DQ win or takes an obvious dive which hurts the whole sport, Quitting is completely acceptable and the quicker people understand that the less we have to see Benn-McClellans
A and F are the worst. Just quitting for no reason.. no punishment or anything. These fighters are just there to pickup a paycheck and nothing more. At least if a guy hangs in there (example D), he's giving his opponent the chance to knock his bitch ass out. B and E isn't even close to "quitting" in the sense that I see it.. choices outside the ring are so complex and personal that I wouldn't hold anyone responsible for any of these life (non-criminal) choices that fans don't agree with. C and G are legit reason to quit (as long as it is REALLY legit, not an excuse).. and I don't think it should be looked upon so harshly.
G is stupid and shouldn't even be on there. I'd go with F because taking a dive is the lamest thing anyone could do.
It hurts my eyes looking at it though. And I hate the duplicity. I have very little problem with a guy unassailably behind quitting on his stool. No shame in it. Especially if he goes all out in his last round and really he tried to turn it around. He's tried to win and it didn't work. Guys who don't try to win in title fights, whether its through diving or tacit quitting are equally offensive to me.
'F' isn't the only one where i would criticize a fighter, but the best scenario on that list in which i think the term coward could be appropriate.
What are you talking about buddy? You think I created this thread with some praise Klitschko agenda in mind. They call your condition paranoia you know
i just love the seldon-tyson fight <object height="385" width="480"> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/a5y-ESQpvWk&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="385" width="480"></object>
Bullshit like this should be reviewed . Purses should be withheld and suspensions should be issued. Seriously imagine paying 70 bucks for this crap or whatever the hell they charged for Tyson PPVs back in the day
Listen, typist, you ever get punched in the hair? I was punched in the hair by Tyrone Everett at the Blue Horizon back in '75, it was brutal i know this game
Seldon's team should have known that you don't throw a guy with glass hair into the ring against Tyson.
