May 8th: Lyoto vs Shogun II.
    May 29th: Rampage vs Evans.
June 12th: Liddell vs Franklin. (just another lazy veteran exhibition fight)

Wich one do you believe will live up to the hype and finaly bring back a decent main event for the UFC.

I thought Dana would've been smarter than that and given us Shogun/Machida II on free tv after the disaster in the first fight. Stupid f*ck doesn't learn his lesson. I ain't paying for this piece of sh*t. And I hope Machida gets buried!

I really think that Machida/Shogun will live up to the hype. Now that Shogun is back to top form, I don't think he will let it go any other way.

No kidding. He is what he is.

But personally I enjoyed the first Machida-Rua. It was 'edge or your seat' type of action. One mistake and either guy could have ended it. The second one will be even better.

There are good fights and bad fights. It's just a fun sport to watch.

One of my pet peeves committed here...
The poll says "which do you expect to be the best" and the OP says "which will live up to the hype and finally bring back a decent main event for the ufc"

The best fight will be jackson evans because of how much they sold it during tuf.

The better main event is the shogun fight for top level participants.

You mean to say we should pay another $50 for a rematch between Shogun/Machida?:dunno:
As bad as the first fight was, which was basically boring enough not to mention extremely controversial, this is one fight that we should've gotten for free.

He ain't proven sh*t. He got his ass handed to him by Shogun. What I found funny is Machida didn't know what the hell to do in that fight. Basically just waiting and waiting for Shogun to make a move. Machida will be done in the UFC pretty soon. He's no dominant champion. The guy's chin is stuck right out there, waiting to get tagged. His lights will be out sooner rather than later.

    :notallthere:

Machida's resume is practically a who's who list in MMA.

    Penn
    Franklin
    Ortiz
    Nakamura
    Thiago Silva
    Rashad Evans
    Shogun

    not to mention,
    Bonnar, Soakajew, and Hoger.

    rediculous post:shit:

Yeah, I guess if you're a bigtime Machida nuthugger, you'll actually consider that a win. Franklin sucks, Ortiz was past it, don't care about Thiago Silva, and Rashad Evans is overrated.
Let's face the facts. I'm more interested in seeing Machida vs the likes of Anderson and smaller Noguira.

Sometimes it's difficult to tell if you're just trolling or if you really, honestly don't have a clue what your talking about.

First, no matter how you look at the fight with Rua, Machida absolutely did not get his ass handed to him. You could go draw, a Machida win or a Rua win, but it was far from a blow out by either guy. Even my 9 year old knows that much.

Second, Machida had to have his 8th fight in the UFC before even losing a round. No before losing a fight, but losing a round.

"The guys chin is stuck right out there" yet big punchers like Silva, Evans and Rua haven't even come close to getting Machida out of there.

Seriously dude. Go back to TAA and talk about shit or farts or something because this is really over your head. You don't see me trying to talk about soccer. You shouldn't talk MMA either.

Yeah, this coming from a guy who believed Mousasi was the second coming.
More often than not, I can pinpoint the hypejobs a mile away. The facts are, Machida was handed a gift. Whether he wins the rematch or not is irrelvant. What's relevant is that he has a loss on his record and is not truly undefeated.
99.9% of the crowd knew that along with Dana White himself. Machida is a paper champion. It doesn't matter what he's done in MMA, what matters is that he lost that fight.

Don't you guys realize if someone doesn't look 100% perfect in every single second of every single fight, then they suck and they're overated?

Geez, you think you would've figured it out by now.

False. I dare you to show me where I ever said that? I've stated where Mousasi stood in most people's rankings, but I never reaped blind praise on him.

Again, as we saw with TFK, you get spanked in a discussion and resort to making shit up.

Machida a hype job??? That's funny considering most people had no idea who he was until Dana matched him against Ortiz in Tito's fairwell fight. After that he crushed the #1 contender and the Champion in impressive fashion.

This is not your forte Hanz. Go compare terd length with LOK in TAA or something.

WTF are you talking about? All serious hardcore fans knew who Machida was way before the Tito fight. He was the only guy to have owned Franklin until Anderson did it.
Spanked in a discussion?:dunno: How do you even get spanked in a discussion? Everything is just opinion based. This ain't a spelling bee Trplsec.

TFK, that's how combat sports work. Remember the hype of Wlad before he was impaled by Corrie Sanders? Remember how much sh*t he got for that loss? Whether it was a bad night or whether he'd have owned Sanders 99 out of 100 fights any other time, the fact was he got owned THAT particular night and hence to a large degree...Exposed!
You know people are chomping at the bit in anticipation of Fedor getting exposed. They're just waiting for it. Especially that idiot Dana White. You know he's praying for it.
At the same time, people can't wait for Anderson to fall.

I'd have left Machida alone if he didn't say that he deserved to win that fight. He came across as a jerk by claiming that. Look at him at the end of the fight and tell me if he looks like he believed he won?:dunno:
He was like "WTF?!?!?!" when the scores were read.
