    Is there anyone else?

I realize that I'm in a no win situation here. Everyone is conveniently saying that Shane is washed up and rusty and so if Floyd wins it would be deemed as no great feat. If, however Shane wins (ans 90% of y'all are "praying" for) I will be at your mercy forever.

    Nicely set up guys!

Anyway...anyone else besides me wants Floyd to win?

I have always been a big fan of Floyds.. I think he will go down as a great and I think he will most likely win..

that said.. I WANT Shane to stretch him..

FLoyd just acts like a jerk and I'd rather see the good guy win

I want Floyd to win, but ONLY because I want to experience Floyd vs Pac. Otherwise nobody can actually root for him

Likewise. Even then, a Pacquiao-Mosley fight would probably be more entertaining.

However i believe there is a rematch clause, so if Shane manages to win it we likely won't see Pac vs either immediately after anyway.

Mayweather and Pacman WILL BE MADE if Floyd beats Shane. Too much money at stake for it not to be made.

Shane vs Pac wouldn't be HALF the event..and that's the problem.

I like both guys, but I like Shane more.

That said, I like Mayweather/Pacquiao more than I like Mosley in 2010.

    So, go Mayweather.

Pac-Floyd would be great for the sport. Seeing this fight should be the reason all fight fans root for Floyd in this fight.

If it was an absolute lock more people would. However that fight was taken away from fans once already.

    True.

After Shane's example though (taking the test), Pac wuld be forced by fans to do the same. Too much money for this fight to not be made. Ths is significant. I don't remember the last time when P4P #1 and P4P #2 went at it....

I really want to see PBF/Pacquiao, so PBF.

IF Shane beats PBF and Pacquiao he'll be in the top 20 of all time. That would be crazy.

LOL at the clowns on here cheering for Fraudweather just so Fraud/Pac can somehow be salvaged.
That f*cking fight already fell through. So f*ck it now. Cheer for Shane to smash this f*cking cunt and end his crappy ass overrated career.
Fraud will be exposed! Not that he already wasn't at the hands of a shot Oscar. Shane will finish the job on this handpicking chump.

In order to see the best matchups, there is no other way but to root for a Sugar Shane Mosley victory.

If Floyd wins we'll probably looking at PACQUAIO-Mosley in the fall. If floyd wins let the CIRCUS begin, with name calling, steroid use ALLEGATIONS, private family life discussions, and at the end NO FIGHT with the best p4p in the planet, Manny Pacquaio.

What I like to see is Mosley landing hard shots, Floyd smiling, Mosley continue to land hard shots, and Floyd eventually stops smiling.

But I will be an interested observer, yell at the screen a few thousand times and remember after the fight is over, I had no INFLUENCE on the outcome of the fight.

Floyd is a 9-2 favorite. The odds are speaking loud and clearly. Eventhough the minority are rooting for a Floyd win, the overwhelming majority think he'll win and rather confortably.

I don't buy this line of thinking.

Sports Illustrated ran a cover story which said, "the Fight To Save Boxing" when Floyd fought Oscar. How did that turn out?

    :lol::lol:

Seeing as he clearly wants no part of Manny, then actually challenge himself by fighting Tall Paul or Martinez at 154.

Take a page from the Fab Four book, fucking challenge yourself, fight anyone.

Like Ramonza said, you can't actually criticise Floyd for taking this fight, but you can't give him any real credit either. Quite simply, this is the type of fight that Floyd should routinely be taking.

Just because Mosley happens to be the second legit welterweight of Floyd's 5 year welterweight career, you can't give him loads of credit just for that, he SHOULD be fighting guys like Mosley. And Shane Mosley nearing 39 is someone Floyd is supposed to beat, it's not a huge challenge. Moving up to fight Pavlik would be a big challenge, or as I mentioned, Tall Paul or Martinez at 154.
