Okay, Froch Is Being An Unconscionable Bitch.

Argh. Why is Froch doing this? I don't want to generalize too much, but I can't help but think that there are simply too many fighters with attitudes like his. Maybe prima donna is the right way to describe him - but to me it is something more. The fact that a fighter at the highest level in the sport actually would prefer to pull out of a tournament he could possibly still win because he would have to fight his next fight in neutral territory is appalling to me. Add in the fact that he already got one tournament fight (and one damn close decision) in his hometown, and it seems yet more insufferable.

I mean, it's not even enough anymore to get a chance to prove you're the best, get on worldwide TV, and make a hefty sum of money? You've got guys like Froch out there who STILL don't want to fight. It's un-fucking-believable. You are a FIGHTER, right Carl? Do you want a cape and a crown and some chocolate brownies, too, next time you fight?

Froch came off as an arrogant, but likeable guy over his last few fights. He was polite and respectful post-fight, stating that he thought he won against Kessler, but not making a big deal about it or offering up a bunch of excuses. Great fight, two guys banging it out until the bitter end. I was just getting to like the guy a bit, and now he has to go and pull this shit.

in some aspects, it's reasonable. his career is basically on the line and i'm sure two losses in a row certainly won't do much to enhance his career.

 

All I know is that there's a reason Calzaghe retired and is doing coke 24/7 now. He knew he would have to fight Froch and deal with his speed and counterpunching.

I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't some half-arsed journalist working very earnestly on a theory to that effect, that all of these guys- Hatton, Calzaghe, Bute, Froch, Klitschkos, Kessler, Ottke, Abraham etc are/were all juice heads, thus explaining how they have overcome their, shall we say, disadvantages.

 

Froch has calmed down a bit and it looks like the Abraham fight will go ahead at a neutral venue. Put his behaviour down to post-fight emotions.

On a side note, i'm looking forward to see what happens if-and-when Andre Ward is told he's got to fight on the other side of the Atlantic.

The resolution is so simple - neutral grounds.

As someone else suggested, every fighter should have a fight at home, in the opponent's backyard, and at a neutral site. That's the ONLY fair way to do it. Because obviously Frock and Arabham are in the same position now, one fight at home and one away, neutral grounds is the only fair way to do it.

Conveniently ignoring his razor thin win over Dirrell, and then, to cap it all off, he demands his fight with Abraham take place not just in England, but in Frochs home town.

I mean, Abraham is at least from Armenia. Its not like Arthur wants it to be held in a center for the commemoration of the Armenian Genocide in Yerevan, for fucks sake.

Froch is a decent fighter who arguably has the beating of all the guys in this tournament.

He is right about the home-town jobbing. But the one place where the jobbing HAS NOT taken place is.....Germany.

Fatty Shaw, a cunt of the highest order, had Abraham [or tried to} facing 3 Yank judges and a Yank ref in Michigan, Dirrells home state. We all know what happened.

Then Froch wins a narrow decision in England.

Then Froch loses a narrow decision in Denmark. He initially says it was a close fight, waits a few weeks, then says he was robbed. For fucks sake.

Taylor got legitimately KO'd in Germany and was well looked after in the best hospital they have. Its not like they raped his missus and horsewhipped his mom while he was unconscious.

Froch, as I say, is one of the best from 160-175 on the planet, but he needs to shut the fuck up and get on with it.
