...over twelve at Jr. Welter? IMO, after going back-&-forth a bit on this... 1: Taylor 2: Even 3: Taylor 4: Mosley 5: Taylor 6: Mosley 7: Mosley 8: Taylor 9: Mosley 10: Taylor 11: Mosley 12: Mosley 6-5-1, 115-114 for Mosley.
Hard one to call. I don't know that Mosley has ever been in with anybody with superior hand speed. How would he handle it? Both guys strengths seem to play into each other which makes for a great fight on paper. They can both fight in the pocket and whack away. Meldrick throws more punches and combinations but Shane is physically stronger. I like Taylor by a very close decision. I just think he'd land the overrall better variety and larger number of shots.
IMO Mosley hit harder than Chavez did (though not better overall) and he's certainly bigger and stronger. Couple that with the fact that Meldrick taylor prided himself on being a "philadephia fighter" and was willing to engage and brawl and wasn't known for being particularly elusive and I like Mosley by KO in the middle rounds.
