It's not "gay" to like to see a fighter with washboard abs. It's well received because it indicates that they trained very hard and are ready to go 12 hard rounds if needed to entertain us.

140 would probably be the best weight for a match-up between the two. I'd probably make Mayweather a slight favorite. DLH looked excellent at 140 against Chavez & most of the Gonzalez fight. The thing about Mayweather though is that he's so good at neutralizing his opponent's best weapon. DLH was always inconsistent with his right hand, he got better with it later in his career, but it wasn't all that developed for someone of his ability. Mayweather would most likely make the tactical adjustments to neutralize the left hook, so much of DLH's chances deal with his jab and right hand.
