That was actually my initial thoughts early in the fight. Shane letting Floyd completely off the hook in the 2nd and looking scared right after hurting him. Then most of his punches had nothing on them. My thoughts were "this is exactly how it would look if someone were throwing a fight". However, later on it seemed to me that Shane was just simply shot.

Shane didn't let Floyd off the hook. Floyd let himself off teh hook by covering up, tieing up and then firing back with hard counters. Watch round 2 again...Shane was all over him and desperate for the KO.

Well, Shane may have had to change up his training regiume, for fear of the USADA,..he certainly performed like somebody who was er..rather weakenned,..and I dont mean the Richard Chase blood complex that Pacquiao likes to propergate as an excuse.

I think Shane came to fight and came close to taking Floyd out in the second round.

However nobody expected Floyd's reaction ater that round to come straight at him and walk him down.

I think Shane at this age didn't expect Floyd to take his shot the way he did and didnt' expect Floyd's power to be as sharp.

Once Floyd got on a rythm he controlled the fight and Shane was just confused as to what to do.

He would get countered regardless if he came at him or if he tried to box with him to sneak a shot in. Doesn't help that Shane's jab was barely used.

I think the reason people have mixed feelings is that nobody expected Floyd to out box and out fight Shane. He did both and almost stopped him.

Shane did everything he could to get Floyd out of there. Who the hell are we to judge Shane's actions in the ring, boxing is a very hard sport and Floyd Mayweather has now proven even to his most passionte detractors like myself that he is one of the greatest of all time.
