Locche bamboozles the bejesus out of Tszyu. Though Tszyu would probably win a few rounds just through Locche being ineffective offensively. He would look pretty stupid throughout though.
I tend to agree. I think if anybody is beating Locche its a dedicated body puncher like Chavez, or Duran.... or a BETTER pure boxer like Sweet Pea, Benitez, or Floyd. I'm liking Locche to beat Tszyu by 10-5 UD.
I don't think anybodies a better pure boxer than Locche, tbh. Better athlete's sure, better overall fighters, of course, not better pure boxers by my conception of the term. That guy was a genius, without an inch of hyperbole.
Actually I stand corrected. You are right. Locche wasnt nearly as athletically gifted as Whitaker, Benitez, and Floyd.... yet he had brilliant skills and reflexes.
Lets be honest, he was barely more physically gifted than me. :: Im not even sure his reflex' were that great, it wasn't as if he moved fast, he just seemed to move at the right time or in precisely the right direction a ridiculous % of times.
No, make no mistake... he wasnt very fast on his feet, but his defensive reflexes were unreal. He had a built in radar on him, and of course was very smart and knew how to maneuver his opponents around the ring. Plus he had a solid jab, and used that hook to the body very effectively.
Oh yeah, absolutely, it's just im not sure it was reflex' in the physical sense like say Roy or Benitez had......with them something would happen and they could just react to it so fantastically quickly. With Loche it seemed more like an ability to see things in an opponents body movement or eye cues or something to predict what they were gonna do a quarter second before they did it. He was just preternaturally relaxed in there I think that he was aware of things that other people couldn't see, he didn't even have to move quickly. Those are the guys I love the most - guys who make the ring look like home they're so relaxed. Toney's been the only modern guy who really comes close to that.
Tszyu was excellent in walking down and finding defensive opponents but of course, never somebody this good. Locche by clear decision, although Tszyu would be in the fight and make him work
Locche, 8-4, 116-112. Would be fascinating to watch these two, with their excellent timing, set traps & try to land perfectly-weighted punches back-&-forth. Locche does it better than Tszyu, in the end.
