To be fair, Reids chin was so bad it made Hide look like an immovable object. The guy looked the part and had great athleticism (), but damn, open the doors at the back of the arena and the resulting breeze would have him in a coma. He made Julius Francis and Orlin Norris look like Shavers and prime Tyson

Pele Reids claim to fame is that he beat Vitali Klitschko at kickboxing.

The only problem was that everyone else beat Reid. At everything else.

I like Reid though. He is part of my arsenal against the dummies who insist that the best boxers are all playing bouncey-bouncey-orange-ball or some other such nonsense.

Actually that's a good point, Reid is the perfect response to Huts claim that all you need is athleticism and speed to go far in todays game, dude couldn't even win a british title off one of the worst champs to ever hold that belt

Wright would be pleased to know he makes anyone's top-ten list. I watched his fight with Andrew Council on TV last night, actually. I will take nothing from him as both a world-class & perenially-underrated fighter for his generation, but he doesn't inspire me as an observer.

council was a pretty decent fighter at one point, but i recall that fight against wright being a snoozer. his bout with vasquez was one of the under rated wars of the 90s, however.
