http://www.usatoday.com/sports/boxing/2010-05-25-3678242929_x.htm This will be a good fight. It should go the distance as Kotelinik has a iron chin and good skills. I like Alexander by Decision.
A six fight, three year deal with Don King. He´s lucky, if he gets two more fights in the next three years.
You're tripping man. Now that he's signed with King all 6 fights will be for titles. ask John Ruiz, Mayorga, Spinks etc...DOn King just got Kali Meehan a title shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you thinking with your brain or your emotions. Don King will keep him in the mix. Pray tell where would you have guided Kotelinik too? I'd rather be a big fish in DK's stable than an obscure non heavyweight euro. DO you relies he's getting a title shot out of this and if he losses he'll get another one for sure.
You mean the Cory Spinks, who is a former undisputed champion, an American that can draw 20000 people in St. Louis and has had six fights in the last five years? Or the flamoyant former undisputed champion Ricardo Mayorga, that had five fights in the last six years, and whom King just stopped from earning money, while promising a title shot against Sturm, who isn´t legally cleared to fight at this point. At this point even his heavyweights can´t get regular fights. Find me a DK fighter, who is not Devon Alexander, that has had two fights per year lately, let alone three. But that obscure Euro will suddenly become the busiest fighter in DK stable? There isn´t a guarantee Kotelnik gets that amount of fights even with a win over Alexander.
When Spinks and Mayorga were at the stage Kotelinik is at they got plenty of fights most if not all for world titles. Again King will get you as much title shots as you're up for. I think thats a good reason to sign with him especially if you're a euro non HW or SMW. If you were Kotelinik who would you sign with, Ukranian Promotions ltd.?
