See the latest article on Maxboxing.. http://www.maxboxing.com/news/main-lead/is-caballero-the-new-most-avoided Unsurprisingly, fucking Top Rank are stringing the public along further, talking about allowing further time for a fight between Gamboa and Lopez, or Gamboa and/or Lopez vs. a dangerous fighter, to pass, so that it can "build up" or "marinate"...and will instead throw Lopez in with Elio Rojas... HBO should be pissed, having dedicated a BAD slot to this guy against Yordan, and having him pass with flying colours, they now have no one to put him in with...:shit:
It is disappointing. The fight has potential. I'd like to have seen it. It seems all so needless, too, these unending hurdles.
Gamboa supposedly wants 1 million. For all the criticism Juanma got for not fighting Caballero, we have to hold Gamboa to the same standard.
Our Jake had a good article on this sort of thing a while ago on boxingscene http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=27508 Very annoying, it puts you right off this stream of set-up fights which are not evenly matched, makes you appreciate more the super six series regardless of whether each fight is classic or not
Who thought Arum would really put Gamboa in with anyone tough? keep dreaming guys, it's safe fights for Juanma and Gamboa for another year.
