Aside from Fightbeat's front page, of course. I go to pretty much all of them, although I only consider a small handful worth going to. Top ones: Boxingscene. They have some breaking news type stuff occasionaly. not a fan of their layout. EastsideBoxing. They have some solid writers on their staff including James Slater and Vivek Wallace, who I subscribe to his Youtube Video breakdowns of fights. Wallace especially is very good. Fighthype. Solid site with a lot of updates throughout the day. One of their writers, Percy Crawford, is in good with James Toney and gets constant news and interviews from him. I'm not a fan of Toney, but that's pretty good to have that connection. OTHERS: Doghouse Boxing. Gotta be tied with Boxingtalk as the worst of the worst. Johnny Benz has to be the shittiest writer in boxing, and considering how terrible I consider myself to be, that's saying something. Don't know how they hooked up with Maxboxing. Dude's "articles" are 99% of the time simply two paragraphs (if that) that are rephrasing other news releases. And he puts up misleading headlines all the time designed just to get clicks. He once had a post up with the headline "Mike Tyson Returning to Boxing" and the "article" was simply a rewrite of something about Tyson doing some announcing gig. Boxingtalk. Utter shit, and the only reason to even go there anymore is this guy "Breadman" who does mailbags. He's the only thing worth seeing on that piece of shit site.
Forums, actually. It's rare I read a written article, though I probably should, once in a while at least.
I no longer go to boxingnews sites anymore. Now if I hear anything new about the sport it'll be coming from Fightbeat. The forum not the front page obviously.
I used to visit MaxBoxing, SecondsOut, Pedro Fernandez's page, FightNews and a myriad of other sites on a regular basis. Now I'm lazy and have a short attention span and just wait for somebody else to tell me about it on the forums.
do they still have those ridiculous pop-up ads? that's one of the main reasons why i stopped going there.
I get my news exclusively from Fightbeat. For example, I had no idea that Cotto and Clottey were fighting soon.
I agree. I actually hated Fightnews and felt it was overrated. Back when I used to visit sites it was always Boxingtalk, Fighthype, Boxingscene and Maxboxing.
