Let's re-visit some of the tall tales of the sport, whether you find them credible or not, list them here! It's great colour for the sport. Roberto Duran knocking out a horse. George Foreman ending a financial dispute with Don King by tossing a tennis ball out the window of his high-rise quarters in Zaire & permitting one of his alsatians to pursue it over the edge. "See that? That's loyalty, Don." Mike Tyson assaulting Wesley Snipes in a nightclub restroom. Roy Jones pursuing quality adversaries at 175lbs...kidding, kidding :crafty:
I hope the Tyson one is true LOL obviously the Duran one is fake and I think the Foreman one is DEFINITELY fake... I can't envision Foreman making an evil/clever, diabolical statement/action like that... when has Foreman ever displayed such wit?
good one even Pep's own account of the round indicated he "jabbed him a bit here and there" it is probably accurate that he won the round without throwing any power punches
Bert Sugar is the worst boxing "expert" of all time... the guy is a cartoonish boob you can tell if a guy really knows boxing or not if he uses Sugar as a source
I think I've started about 4 threads about this by now but nobody ever does anything. :: The emoticons here are awful. Sometimes I feel like the full rainbow inside me is shining only for me. And there just isn't an emoticon here for how that makes me feel. Boxing lore - that Alexis Arguello tried to speak to Roberto Duran in an airport but Duran ran away terrified.opcorn:
