I figured that it wouldn't be long. Fedor has had some bad problems with his hands over the years and they have gotten progressively worse. At his age, being in the sport so long, I bet training is getting tiresome.

He should retire. I mean he will NEVER EVER fight for the UFC so might as well retire and stop getting our hopes up. Same with mayweather. If you're not gonna fight Pacquiao fucking retire already

You know Dana is praying he retires, just so he can quit getting so many emails, tweets, and texts about how he needs to sign Fedor:lol:

I would like to see him fight Alistair first though.

I think Dana is praying for anything, it's that Fedor signs with the UFC, not retires.

With the UFC's marketing, they could make Fedor a HUGE star.

It really is a shame how the Fedor story has played out over the last couple of years. He's so fucking good... I just want to see him fight the best of this generation before he's too old. Frustrating.

He's the Mayweather of MMA, you can't deny he's great, but it's frustrating he's not fighting the best. He's fighting the best available to him, just not THE best there is. It's a shame really.

Fedor's nothing like Mayweather. He's never made excuses or pull out bullshit drug test to get out of a fight.Don't go TLC on us and act like Fedor's ducking fighters, because we all know that bullshit.:boohoo:

No, that's not what I'm saying at all. It's no so much Fedor's fault as it is MMA's fault that he isn't fighting everyone we wish he would fight. Fedor isn't ducking anyone, he just can't fight everyone we wish he would.

The similarities between him and Mayweather end there.

I love Fedor trying to sell his fight with Werdum as being more important than Carwin-Lesnar.

    He's great but that's a stretch.

i dont really care for fedor if he stays at strikeforce/m-1, but a fight vs. overeem is a fight i want to see more than any other heavyweight fight. and no, that's not to say that overeem is the best challenge available, but i just think that's the most interesting fight that can actually happen.

Keep in mind that Fedor is getting older and hasn't been in with a genuine threat to him in years. He looked very vulnerable in the 1st with Rogers. Lesnar Carwin, JDS, and Overeem would be VERRRY live underdogs.

AgREED. You can only remain dominant for so long. At his age and his involvement in the sport for over a decade, the day will come soon when he simply can't just run over these guys anymore. Especially against some of these giants. This is a young mans sport.

Definitely more than Lesnar. They own the footage of all of his Pride fights. If Fedor were to come into the UFC and beat a couple guys like Lesnar, Carwin, JDS, etc, with their marketing machine Fedor would be the biggest name in MMA.

Did anyone else watch the Replay of Rogers and Fedor?

In the replay, It didnt look as competative as i remembered. Fedor dominated him.

I thought the same thing. It was mainly the blood. Especially knowing it was just a re-opened cut. Fedor was ragdolling him most of the time.

Hell I think Werdum is the most difficult test for Fedor since Big Nog.

I know the KO loss to JDS turned alot of fans away from Werdum, but he is still a solid all around fighter with power and great BJJ.

And I think Werdum has a solid chin. Getting drilled by Dos Santos could happen to anyone.

I haven't made my predictions yet, but I like Werdum with the upset.

Couldn't agree more. Rogers didn't have the stand up success I remembered. But even more shocking was Rogers ground and pound, which watching it originally seemed destructive, but in the replay it was more dominated by Fedor's quick hips trying to grab an armbar.

Rogers actually got worked pretty good except for that great jab in the first minute of the fight.

i thought werdum looked awful vs. arlovski. and his win vs. silva wasn't overwhelmingly impressive either.

not sure how he could trouble fedor. i dont remember the first nog fight too well, but if i'm not mistaken, in the rematch, nog couldn't do shit standing up nor down against fedor. that was a complete domination.

since werdum doesn't possess any threat standing up, i can't see how he's gonna win.

Ok,glad you cleared that up lol...but yeah,MMA is setup more like Pro Wrestling. If you sign with an org, then you have to fight whoever is in that org ONLY but I think the UFC is the only org in MMA that does that though
