After that desultory performance against Andre S.O.G. Ward, how much of a chance do you Sweetness against the Viking Warrior?

A better question would be how much of a chance do you give Green of lasting the distance.

No, a better question is how many seconds would Green last against a prime Bob Foster

kessler is there to be hit. Green could catch him with some solid punch and take him out.

Yeah, based on all the good fighters Green has taken out, and based on the shaky chin Kessler has shown.

I think Green will land and buzz Kessler on maybe a couple of occasions but he'll still lose a wide UD.

A better question is why Green isn't being pressured by his promoter to quit the tournament. His effort was far more pathetic than Taylor's, and he certainly took more punches from Ward than Taylor did from Abraham.

First of all, Jermain Taylor would have done better against Ward than Green did. Green is not in the same class as the rest of the guys in the competition. There is one guy Green might beat and I'm sure this is going to be an unpopular opinion but Karl Froch might get knocked if he fought Green. Froch damn near got KO'd by Taylor who could never be considered a puncher at 168.

As for Kessler, he's got to be favored against Green, but he's far less mobile and defensive than Ward and there is a small chance Green catches him, I doubt it, but it wouldn't be too shocking. Kessler should be too durable and too good for Green when they meet. Kessler by UD is my pick. I don't think he stops Green.

REED just cant except Green is a bum.

He can say what he wants about Kessler... but Mikkel never in a million years loses to Miranda.

No one is saying anymore Kessler is unbeatable. Theres a good chance he would lose to AA, Dirrell, already lost to Ward, and he might even lose a rematch to Froch..... but Green sucks.

This is boxing. No outcome can really ever SURPRISE me(except RJ-Tarver II) but theres no logical way of Green beating Kess. He cant outbox Kess, cant outwork him, so his only hope is catch Kess with something big and stop him. And Kess has a very solid chin, and Green has never stopped a live body. So how will Green win?

AND... the fight will be in front of thousands of roaring Danes. Green is a mental midget, and will probably be intimidated by the moment and atmosphere. Once Kess hits him with a big shot, look for Green to mentally fold....... as always.

Green hasn't suffered any stoppage losses or severe concussions.

If they replaced Taylor based on having a low chance to win the tournament, then they should've picked someone else other than Green who's always been viewed as a longshot in the Super Six.

After Sept... its back to ESPN2 for Green. Where a figher of his calibre belongs. He's not a HBO/Showtime level figher.

Yeah, that makes good managerial sense. Talk Green into quitting the tournament and thereby cutting his own pockets, admitting he's a bum, and showing Showtime as well as HBO that he can't be counted on. I guess there's always ESPN and FNFs.

This is a great point, something like that will effect a mental midget and I think the homecourt all but assures Kessler of a victory. Still, Kessler has seriously regressed and looked like absolute shit lately, although I missed his last fight with Froch. Kess losing to Green wouldn't shock me so much, I mean there is the chance that Green was actually weight drained and not himself due to his surgery. There is even the slim chance that he puts it together and shows some heart.

I doubt it though, Kessler UD.

Green should be a 5-1 or more underdog.

Yep, that's why he fought Ward like that to get his odds down. Now he's going to bet thousands on himself and kick Kess' ass.

this will also be green's first fight in europe. i wonder how he'll cope w/ such magnitude of event in front of a large crowd considering he fought like shit in front of a semi-big crowd in oakland.

I think it's a disgrace that Kessler should get into the Semi-Finals on the back of wins over Froch and Green. Even worse is that Green should get into the Semis by beating Kessler. :shit:

At the very least Green is saying the right things. Claims he's ashamed of himself for not only his performance but for the performance he gave after all the shit he talked. He says he understands that nobody wants to hear that so all he will say for the Kessler fight is that he promises a ferocious fight and wants to redeem himself. Other than that he'll let his fists do the talking.

He always talks a good game, but in the ring he'll always choke. He's never shown any potential that will lead to him beating Kessler.
