Rocky Juarez is what I consider a hunter in the ring. He plots along, looking for a shot. And when he gets it, more often than not, he makes it count. As evidence by his record (although Juarez has fought some of the best competition of anyone in and around his division), this approach doesn't always guarantee victory, even for a guy as skilled as Rocky. But man, is it fun to watch him stalk and hunt his opponent. What other fighters fall under this category? Arguello?
Change the word "plots" to "plods", and maybe we have a story. :nono: Rocky's still waiting around for the perfect shot to get back at the doctor who slapped him in the ass the day he was born. Rocky sits..........plotting..........."Someday you son of a bitch.............someday!" If Rocky robbed banks for a living he'd still be parked outside the bank in his getaway car after the bank had closed up for the night. Rocky once pulled the trigger on a gun at the firing range, only to discover he'd already put it back in it's holster. Somebody once asked Rocky, "What came first, the chicken or the egg?", and he promptly fell into a coma.
All great fights (quite a few for a fighter who is unwatchable) Juarez/John I Juarez/Antonio Diaz Juarez/Barrera I Juarez/Barrios Juarez/Soto His fight with Raheem was horrible - I'll give you that. But that had more to do with Raheem than Rocky. And not to mention his great knock-outs: Juarez/Diaz Juarez/Espadas Juarez/Archuleta Juarez/Lucero Juarez/Ramirez What Juarez needs is some time with Team Roach. Then he'll let his hands go. Then he'll be in a trans.
In your Typical Rocky Juarez Fight, there's Usually 3-4 Rounds of GREAT Action, but 8-9 Rounds of LULL.... REED:shit:
give the dope fiend some credit at least he is beginning to latch on to fighters with some talent, albeit a gross underachiever. sure beats hyping up a palooka like Julio Gonzalez though
If by "Hunting" U Mean, INeffectively Following his Foe Around the Ring, & Firing Off @ a PALTRY Punchrate, then Yes, REED Agrees.... REED:hammert:
:: Wasn't Paul Ingle's nick-name, the hunter? I don't think of him as a hunter, by my definition though. He's more of a pressure fighter, just looking to get his hands on you. Juarez likes to hunt. It's why his fights tend to build to a crescendo, often culminating in a disgusting beating, the fruits of Juarez's relentless hunt. Other hunters: Trinidad Angulo Munoz Lacy These guys will hunt you down !!!
Lacy will hunt you until the end. The term, "hunter," refers to the approach, not an outcome. A fighter could lose every one of his fights and still be a hunter.
These guys will hunt you down and if they catch you they will destroy you with violence and malice. Juarez takes notes for about 7 rounds and then ponces on you like a leopard.
Juarez "Hunts" like a Guy w/1 Bullet in his Rifle...Like a Crossbow Hunter Down to his VERY LAST Arrow... REED:hammert:
I don't see the contradiction. Judah is a hippety-hunter, early in his career. PBF, against Judah, exhibited hunter characteristics. This isn't complicated you know.
Juarez has quite often been seen still taking notes in the dressing room after the fight. It takes him 20 minutes to do his ringwalk, because he's already pacing himself.
